seriously loving the rugs coming out of cold picnic right now...

"cold picnic was formed in 2010 by partners phoebe sung and peter buer, both of whom have backgrounds in fine arts and worked in corporate fashion design" and you can see all of that in the pattern and color play. i am drawn to the ways in which color line or blocks of color are positioned or just how they align or smash up against one another. i also love the leaving of open color space in the rugs.

i've been slow to the take on the holiday vibe. i feel like i've been kicking back thinking i have all kinds of time. but last night it hit me. i realized that this weekend i need to snap to and dive in! so i'll be heading out, trying to avoid the mall at all costs, in search of a few special gifts.
