happy weekend!

(via)
happy weekend everyone! hoping you are embracing the change of the seasons, cozy spaces and with the holidays just around the corner, starting to get into the spirit. this weekend you'll find me starting small paintings of the sea for xmas presents, googling everything i can about visiting scotland (see below!) and sipping red wine under my favorite vermont blanket.

i hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the heck out of your weekend!

just booked a spring trip here. cannot wait! might need these shoes in plaid no? ha!

this dress for the holidays. this off the shoulder silk top is fun too. or this in gold with that fringe?

a pretty little pillow cover.

a pretty little catch all.

in LOVE with this wall sconce.

could look at this instagram site all day. i mean this autumn umbrella, and some of her installations, just so gorgeous.

these porcelain biscuit pendant lights. wowzers.

these would be fantastic for storing my strewn about art supplies.

a dream sofa. another one. ok one more.

i really like the textural element this assemblage wood coffee table offers. their side table is cute too.

a funky bowl.

these remind me of when my mother made chocolate pudding, in glasses like this.

a shower with a view.

yum.

can extension cords be pretty? yes.

these tea towels.

i love a good serving board. these are current favorites: this, this and this.

imperfect symmetry in this space, i love that.

vintage lighting love. ok, another one.

these berry shaped lights would be fun for holiday garland.

someone please buy me this hook door knocker for xmas.

pillow love.

enjoy!

terra incognita.

not everyone's an artist or photographer. not everyone has the time to be, that's where terra incognita and emily johnston come in...
taking photos is the way emily maps her world. emily hopes, that if you are in need of art for your walls, whether your walls are in a residential or commercial space, that, as she says, "these prints will be something of a map for you to hang on your walls too, another chance to slow down a little, and see with new eyes-not to slow down time, but to be in time, that ultimate terra incognita."

good advice to start another busy day. check out so many more amazing shots on emily's site, here. and enjoy!
