RED INSPIRED...

i don't know what it is about red lately...but i'm loving this color.
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
it's funny too because growing up, i had an eccentric grandmother who loved the color red. so much so, that it turned me off to the color for a long time. recently i'm noticing rich reds fashioned, placed and displayed in the area which i live, and in such a way as to revive my love for this beautiful color.

today i wanted to share with you some current favorite product, all in red, that i'm coveting...from that low, red storage cabinet, to the textile design in the second image from charles and ray eames, to that amazing bloom umbrella offered up by sywawa parasols, to the quirky quilted clock and crazy sexy red ceramic tile slabs offered up by dune...all are just sensational in red. don't you think? enjoy!

wild tiles.

these wild new floral tiles offered up by bisazza caught my attention this afternoon...
the designer is marcel wanders. and if you have a little bit extra in your home or commercial renovations budget for a very specially tiled wall, bisazza might be your go to splurge. i've posted about bisazza in the past. what i really enjoy about companies like these is their daring to go bold, to test the boundaries of something like wall treatments or floor treatments. to wow you. after all, being wowed is a good thing right? enjoy...

cocomosaic tiles.

as a material resource and for residential or commercial design, a curious and new~to~me tile option are these coconut shell tiles offered up by cocomosaic. if what you're looking for is a very natural, textural addition to your space, even as an accent wall, these are a very "green" and just plain cool idea.
i'm thinking a bathroom wall, even one wall, would be amazing adorned with these coconut shell tiles. on their website, cocomosaic suggests these shell tiles for ceiling use or floor use as well...now that's getting downright creative! enjoy...

designing in tile.

i love the thought of designing with different mediums, from wood to metals to tile. tile to me, offers a unique textural experience when placed in any space, residential or commercial, indoors or outdoors. there is something so natural yet so artistic about designing with tile.

travertine tiles offer an array of fine tiles, for indoor or outdoor ideas. travertine floor tiles are expressive, artisitc and durable. imagine dark and moody black marbled tiles, in a kitchen or bathroom? or effect tiles, that offer a wood or stone effect? or how about all white subway tiles to create an ethereal, clean, crisp atmosphere? the possibilities are really endless! whether considering indoor or outdoor spaces, tile offers and creates an expressive, dramatic presence.

either creating amazing patterns or simply left to its own natural pattern, the versatility and complex nature of tile is fabulous for use in designing. travertine tile flooring offers an array of interesting choices.

think texture, think of utilizing the many different mediums out there when designing your spaces, tile can be an exceptional choice! enjoy...
