and it's not like i haven't other years. but for some reason this year i've truly been trying to take in every minute, every last drop of sun, feeling warm breezes, running in the mornings as the sun rises. this year seems like it just has an extra special summer to it. i love that!

3 flexform sofas.

i could have posted more than 3 flexform sofas today, because there were more that i liked. but these are my 3 favorites...

flexform is an italian based company (with a very sexy website), though they have affiliates in new york and chicago, so not too worry. if you are in the market for classically influenced but with a modern twist sofas.

but in the end what i most love about these flexform sofas (and the rest of their product line) is that there is a reserved beauty about each piece, but with a sexy edge. they're a bit flirty, and i love that! enjoy...

in high school i was one of those kids who enjoyed wearing blue alligator shoes with bows on the toe. green tights and a lemon yellow skirt. it was the punk era. and i was into it. the fashion was fun. mixing colors was even more fun.

this silver shirt reminds me of that. it reminds me of well, me. i don't still have those shoes. but this silver shirt would be a sweet replacement. enjoy!

these, my friends are supreme sitting areas. from the natural lighting to the man~made lighting, and everything in between. they are stockpiled into the rue magazine gallery, don't you just love rue?!

alma lights. i love them in white.

every now and then, as i'm persuing the pages of lighting companies, the simplicity of white grabs me, and doesn't quite let me go. these alma lights do that to me. there is something about white anyway, don't you think? it's timeless, classic, always easy on the eyes, ethereal and romantic. i think that if i had an indecisive client, whether it be for a residential or commercial space, i'd suggest white. and never look back...

when it comes to either floor lamps or hanging, or even table lamps, what is your preference? do you enjoy mixing up the shades throughout your spaces, or do you stick with one theme or color palette throughout your home or commercial space? i definitely am a mix it up kind of girl.

i was recently at ikea with my son, and he spotted this small little lampshade with (in the ikea images it's the one to the far left), it looks like tokyo, all over it. when it lights up, the whole city lights up. it's really small but actually fits on an old vintage light that i have. i posted a photo of it on my twitter feed a while back if you want to check it out here. there is something about it that makes me smile. i love how it pairs with this older light but i also love that my son picked it out more. ;) enjoy!

for the love of bathroom suites.

there is one thing, for sure, that is missing in my little cottage and that is a decadent, beautiful bathtub to hang out in and relax. are you a tub person? if i had one, especially like one of these classic, cast iron babies, you'd be hard pressed to lure me out.

i'm heading out...to visit my dad.

ok friends, i'm heading out this morning to myrtle beach for a little vacation with my dad. i'll be walking the beach, eating more than i should, sipping wine (probably more than i should ;) laughing ALOT (he makes me laugh until i'm doubled over, so fun!) and catching up. all of those good things!

brave walls. going for pattern & color.

are you daring? in any way shape or form? i'm somewhere in the middle and lean to the more daring side, than away from it. color doesn't scare me. and you know what? it's just color, you can change it anytime you'd like. on that note, i just love what mikkel kure has done with his apartment, featured on bolig magasinet. and the use of all that blue? calm, cool & collected is what i say about that.






doesn't this space, from one blue toned room to another, somehow draw you in, sort of like diving into some sort of serenity pool? it does that for me, and i love it!
