happy monday friends, another fresh start to a brand new week. i hope that you enjoyed your easter sunday. my son was home from college and still looked all over the house for his easter basket. you are never too old for chocolates and salted caramels!

the beach, barnacles and playing with the light.

happy weekend friends! the other day i took a long walk as the sun set. as i took photos, the light was disappearing. i began playing with my camera and the light filters. to save the light. this is what transpired...at the beach, with the barnacles, and the light.

butterfly sketches, mid~day spring pretty

it's been so warm in new england lately, and really most of this winter. add in soft & wispy butterfly sketches and now i'm really ready for spring. this fab new find, decade diary features illustrations (and other cool features) by new york based, bernadette pascua, she has another more personal site here.


so talented, bernadette is. and i really love her site of more personal work, as you scroll down, everything moves sideways. so great!

i'd love one of these butterfly sketches, constructed on a larger canvas. really large. placed in one unique & perfect space, the butterfly would seem even more ethereal, floating, simply eye catching in that space.

this mid~day wednesday inspiration comes in the form of howkapow, a fab site find, chock full of things that will make you smile. they're cheery and downright fun products. from this swallow pouf to these cushions below, howkapow offers up pretty patterns and as they say, "smile-enducing style."


how is your wednesday going friends? we are on our way up to boston for one of my classes later, but before that we are scooping my son and his girlfriend up at college and whisking them off for an early dinner. today is his birthday, and though he'll be home this weekend for a party, we thought we'd still give him a small celebration tonight.

not that you need another site to join, but have any of you joined the fancy? i sort of stumbled upon it today and had fun perusing the pages. it's sort of like pinterest, but another great resource for locating product, blogs, etsy sites, you name it! free to join too. here are just a few favorites from my searches today...







like i said, these are just a few favorites, from new product, random spaces to love and color palette ideas. the fancy is another site for needed inspiration, ideas, do~it~yourself ideas etc. a good go~to source, in my opinion anyway ;)
