and if so, what was it you were looking for that sold you?

was it the location that drew you to it? the style? or was it just a feeling that you can't explain, something that just pulled at you and said this is it, this is home? as i get older, i'm finding my tastes changing...and sometimes in pretty surprising ways. it's not that i've strayed too far from my original dreams or desires, but they have interesting twists now, views and attractions that my younger self would have never predicted.

i've never owned a home. and it's not that i haven't wished to, the right time, the right place/space just hasn't presented itself. or maybe i'm feeling a little less wanderlust and a little more planted. anyway, just thinking out loud. i'd love to hear your home buying feedback. enjoy!

clean lines & enne.

lately loving the super fresh and clean lines of product coming out of the turkish company enne. these are a few of my current favorites...

i've lived with a large sectional for the past few years. it too has clean lines but i'm in the market for something in a different style, mid-century modern to modern. something inviting but rather fit in style. enne offers a look that i'm drawn to, stately, easy on the eyes furniture. the kind you can live with, at least for a while...enjoy!

how about you? the one thing that's on my agenda this weekend is to actually plan some summer fun, ahead of time. concerts, short road trips, a longer trip? who knows. with our fast paced schedules, it's easy to not notice the outdoors as much as you'd like. the sun, the summer smells and the overall sense of summer. if you experience winter like i do in my part of the world, you (if you are like me anyway) count every minute of this season.

i'll let you know what i come up with, which summer fun things i have planned. for now, enjoy your friday, get excited for your upcoming weekend, you deserve it!...and enjoy!

desert dreaming.

maybe it's living through the winter that will. not. end. or maybe i'm watching too much late night golf as they are beginning the 2015 season in desert surroundings, but i'm finding that i'm literally dreaming about desert-esque places & spaces...

it's funny too because i have never been particularly drawn to that type of atmosphere or landscape (having grown up in new england smack dab on the atlantic ocean, this is quite different) but as soon as i really tuned into the vast, other worldly views & vantage points that a desert landscape has to offer and the particularly beautiful finite bits of what makes such a terrain have its own unique flavor, i'm completely enamored.

i wonder what dreaming of the desert will bring me, where it will bring me? is a vacation in my future, a move? not sure, but images like this are sticky in my imagination right now. enjoy!
