monday and boo & bear

if you are expecting a baby soon or know someone who is, these are maybe the sweetest "hand-made goodies for little ones" that i've seen in a while...
using materials such as wool & felt, the australian-based company boo & bear is offering up this line of children's pillows, in the softest of color palettes that leave you oohing an aahing all over the place...each sweeter than the one before. enjoy!

etsy pretty.

i like these very geometric "moth" shades available of the pretty etsy site, studio snowpuppe.
studio snowpuppe describes these shades as " paper that is a bit cloudy and dreamy." so, with that, i think that these shades would be magical in a nursery or child's room. soft, imaginative, dreamy. perfect. enjoy!

pretty lovely ideas.

while i love shopping and searching for large items for gifts, decorating or designing, i also really love the pretty little lovely ideas as well. sometimes it's the big things that complete a space & sometimes it's the little things. today we'll go with the little things...

hand~painted brocade bar glasses and simply beautiful mercury orbs from hudson. imagine adding these to aid in decorating or entertaining. imagine a table top with gobs of these shiny mercury orbs sprinkled around and those bar glasses strewn about. super festive!

these serving decanters from fish's eddy are just plain ol' fun! give cheer this holiday season with these "cheer up" decanters. and imagine adding wine to them instead of milk? oh i can! your guests would really cheer up then. ;)

while we're taking a look at pretty decanters, why not add this beautiful set to your collection for bed time refreshment? from flutter.

really pretty block print cloth napkins from burke decor. i have to use cloth napkins. they are so completely civilized to me. i can't help it! plus i love having a kitchen cupboard stacked with mis~matched napkins. these would be a perfect addition.

i just think these are magical, soft and oh~so~pretty! hand~blown glass orbs with natural floating plumes from abodeon. and you want to know something else? they're only $6.00 each. ah, yeah, so you need to run and buy a bunch!
how festive is this bubble vase, from cb2? a hand~blown glass block, for a "3~d bubblicious!" flower display.

how super sweet are these tiny terrariums? i absolutely love these! run & grab bunches of these, from flora grubb gardens.

what are some of your favorite little things? do you break out oldies but goodies or have you bought something new & little this year for the holidays that is just making it all that more fun? i'd love to hear!

ah, i think yesterday i thought it was friday already by the sound of my post. my head is pushing the weekend faster than it's coming i'm afraid ;) but we are here now, so i'll repeat myself and say happy friday and enjoy your weekend! try to stay calm and carry on with all of the shopping and decorating...have fun!

for the love of kids.

these are my favorite new find. "little nobody chairs" made from recycled plastic bottles. i love the soft inviting shapes that they produce. if i was a elementary teacher i'd have these little nobody chairs stacked and sprinkled all around my room. love them!

"fata" is extremely versatile and can satisfy any sort of taste, not just for the children’s room but wherever a practical and smart furnishing solution is needed."

how about as an adult version, elegant, unusual and functional.

this industrial robot bed with shelving is genius. a virtual jungle jim right in your own child's bedroom!
"children’s bed. it is a play/educational structure in grey or red epoxy powder painted steel rod. it is supplied with two wire-nets, four shelves, two baskets, a height-adjustable table in white laminate and a set of hooks."

these whimsical agatha chairs are fun for your not-your-average lunch table chairs at school. making lunch even more of a favorite part of the school day. made from steel frames finished in metallic polyester, these chairs offer purpose but keeping with fun design and a child's imagination.

i smiled when i saw this little man chair. a very grown-up rendition of a hip modern chair for little ones. very chic. it just goes to show you that not everything in a child's room need be silly, it can be positively serious as well and pulled off with charm.

these brightly colored chairs are fun, organic in shape and completely utilitarian without losing interesting, simply great design. they flow perfectly with little bodies.

kids furnishings are surely not what they used to be. they're hip, edgy, fun, modern and extremely useful which is key. let's just say that these items were not available in my room growing up as a young person. when designing a child's room, there is no need today to compromise on design. there is so much more out there than the obvious chain store furnishings. especially the great lines of "green" products like the chairs in my first photo. research, imagine, design and help your children's room to help them thrive, learn, grow and be. enjoy!
