have a lovely long weekend.

(via)

here wishing you a lovely long weekend! what are you up to? anything fun? i just wallpapered the little dining room of my house by the sea (this is the pattern) and it's so, SO fabulous in person. so spending the weekend hanging back up a few paintings, cleaning the house (it's raining cats and dogs this weekend) and sipping some IPA's. not bad, not bad at all.

and i'm not back to work until wednesday, then headed to maine for the weekend with friends next week, golfing a round by the ocean (i've never golfed but watch it on t.v. ALL the time, will see how i do!) and eating our weight in food and wine. feels good to make plans, travel, see so many people without masks, a beautiful summer is on the horizon.

and some fun finds from around the world wide web (lots of great lighting finds in this post):

my leg is healed (last xray this month), i'm back to my beach and my ocean. taking longer and longer walks and so happy that i'm beginning this new year healthy. i hope that you are having a beautiful weekend.

tania rollond's ceramics

australian artist tania rollond is creating a line of ceramics that will stop you. originally concentrating in graphic design, tania realized a true zest for working with clay, and in response earned a master's of fine arts in drawing.

pairing the two talents and passions, tania combines her very free yet beautiful command of the use of line with her natural design sense of color and pattern combinations. the result is a fresh line of sculptural ceramics that to me, are like no other...
if you have time, take in this video by tania. she divulges her own artistic process in such a way that is seriously inspiring to all of us who are artistically inclined. enjoy!

ways to display

the australian-based shop mr kitly (named after founder bree claffey's cat) is chock full of carefully curated goods for the home, a "thoughtful and considered collection of functional objects in ceramic, wood, and metal" and my favorite part of what they offer (at least right now!) are their vases and vessels, offering up pretty ways to display cut flowers...
wouldn't these be pretty on a holiday table? also great gift ideas! just saying...enjoy!
