what are you up to this weekend? anything fun? i've been commuting to boston and reaaaally getting into some podcasts, so far these are my favorites. i find them inspiring, positive and they just get me in a great mindset to begin a challenging day. (if you only listen to one, listen to the spanx episode, sooo good!)

i know alot of people getting away right now, locally or to exotic or far off places. it's that time of year though right? although we are all in a sort of nesting phase, there is a prompt to jump start our year in some new or exciting way. to set a pace or mood or an overall vibe for our new year. if you have purposefully begun your year in a particular way that accomplishes all of that, i'd love to hear!

my weekend does not quite include exotic or far away places but i do feel a road trip coming on. ;) in between that, i hope to start this book, (probably a tough read at times but the reviews are wonderful), i have a small amount to finish my latest tiny ship series (and might draw up a new one!), and i feel some new wardrobe shopping happening too.

have you guys heard of the lost & found shops or am i just late to the game? i'm in instant love with this line. founder jamie rosenthal opened this "groundbreaking and innovative collection of shops", in california and in turn an "off the radar shopping experience" developed, an opportunity to peruse unusual, small boutique pieces, each one feeling more special than the next...

i usually try to keep wishes or goals simple. 2016 was challenging. i found myself purposefully slowing down, opening myself up alot more, in new ways, letting things come to me, letting people, friends, interactions, come to me instead of flying around in search of everything, fast. i'm fast. so i hope to remain a bit more my slowing down self in 2017. i'm experiencing alot more at this speed. and i like that!

i'm starting this book, this weekend (ny times review) can't wait. i have also been in a perfume slump, hardly wearing any for the last few years as everything is starting to smell the same to me. unexpectedly someone i know share this with me and i actually really liked it. never saw that coming.

mirrors & burke decor

i'm lately loving some of the new mirrors offered up by burke decor. for different reasons, in different spaces, mirrors are or can be, a statement piece. they are going to take up precious space in your home, you want to not only like looking into it each day, but looking at it each day...
