happy sunday!

what are you up to this weekend? anything fun?
(via)
i'm trying to quell my panic at the nearness of the holidays. to head it off, i've started decorating super early, like last weekend, garland, sparkly strings and lights...trying to dive straight into the sensations of winter and all that goes with it. it feels pretty good actually! this weekend i've been shopping a tiny bit, grabbing ingredients to make these beauties for thanksgiving and sitting around in my slippers writing (the best!).

wherever you go, whatever you do, have a cozy happy sunday! & some fun finds from around the world wide web:

want a pair of these for every day of the week.

how fun are these pretzel stud earrings?

galerie half

i recently discovered the los angeles based galerie half and all of the design goodness within...
scrolling their moody furniture layouts and how deliciously they've figured pieces in each space, i was having difficulty narrowing down images to share, but their seating options overall, stole my heart. their pieces are weighty classic in design yet all occupy hints of modern line. these are pieces that you'd want to hand down, they are appropriately timeless yet fabulously current.

see more of what galerie half has to offer here & enjoy!

happy weekend!

cheers to a happy weekend!

what are you up to? anything fun? i'm recovering from a failed hard drive on my laptop that sent me into a panic as i'm in the middle of another harvard course. in the end, some of my work was lost but i have been madly writing again this weekend to fill the voids. ugh. in between getting acquainted with my new computer, i'll be sleeping in, saying hello to a tall glass of red wine in the evening and watching spring pop up all around me.

i hope that your weekend is everything you want it to be. and it's friday saturday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:

i ride the train ALOT to work, this is the first backpack i've seen that i would actually use (or like really).

a beautifully simple light.

a pretty little light and airy house tour.

ooooh and this, every single space, inside and out...stunning.

yum.

these colors make me happy.

wishing i could spend $640 on this bag.

makes me want bangs, again.

would make a pretty mother's day gift. these too!

these terrazzo wall hooks are everything.

do you love avacados too?

for summer, i'd wear this every day. this one too.

a summer clutch to die for.

custom paper garlands, imagine this for a wedding? etsy love.

really loving this rustic plank farm table for a small space.

enjoy!

workof

i stumbled upon a pretty neat design source the other day and thought i'd share, it's called workof and it's chock full of bold, contemporary design choices...from wow furniture pieces, like the joojay lounge chair in the second image, to some more subtle pieces like the archromo planter down below. super eclectic and a product line covering just about everything from a to z...
what's also really fun about this one stop design shopping site is that they "empower design professionals with a new way to source and showcase their work." hence "workof". get it? pretty cool right? see more and i mean waaaaay more here, these were a few of my immediate favorites. but i had to stop. i could have posted so much more. have fun & enjoy!

the future perfect

where do i start? there is just SO much to love (and want!) from the future perfect...
founder david alhdadeff opened his original store in brooklyn in 2003. david's goal was to celebrate designers from "a burgeoning local design community." what began with modest intention emerged into a seriously beautiful platform to feature distinguished designers, both established and emerging, from all around the globe.

you can now enjoy the future perfect in new york, los angeles and san francisco...and of course on line. if i could have run through the future perfect's showroom and grabbed what i could in about 5 minutes, these are what would have been on my very quick list.

but there is SO much more to wish for and desire, here. and let's be clear, the future perfect offers wow pieces, at sometimes wow prices. but if you are in the market for exceptional, you are certainly in the right place. enjoy!

monday & trnk

new york-based trnk is a really fabulous find whose mantra is "have a handsome home". trnk offers up an eclectic variety of classically modern options, sourced from a variety of designers all around the world.

so much of what trnk offers is chock full of long lines, clean design and pieces that lend themselves to any residential or commercial space...
tarik dixon and nick nemecheck are trnk. they believe that homes and the spaces within should be "collected not decorated" and that the ideal home is "considered yet approachable." i love that! these were a few of my immediate favorites but there is a ton to see over at trnk. see more here & enjoy!
