have a sweet day my sweets!

yeah for days like this! happy days, sweet, thoughtful, tasty, pretty, how come we don't have days like this every day? we need to change that right? ;) happy valentine's day friends! i thought today i'd try to feature some images from some of my favorite blogs with love & candy names. see what i've found...

the sweetest of presentations. how completely tempting! via candy castle.
bits of romance, greens paired with pretty pots, hints of reds, pinks, soft & hot. via bolig magasinet.

pretty plated valentine's desserts. hope you are enjoying something like this today! via love & pine.
surely a day to cover your favorite space in flowers no? via dewllings.
just because, via design love fest.
oh to walk barefoot on this pretty in pink rug, or to be embraced by this hot but soft red chair. oh, i'd be so happy! via bolaget.
how super sweet is this pink leather bow cuff? simply adorable. via twenty thirty forty.
have you already been treated this morning? have you eaten something sweet for breakfast? oh you should! ;) i've put together pretty little bagged treats for my loves and feel like treating myself to my favorite sticky bun from my favorite bakery in boston today, flour. the best place in the city to grab something delish on the go or to sit and savor! so you know what? i'm going to! how about that! enjoy your day, enjoy your loves!

rock the kasbah. i'm autumn inspired.

i'm leaning towards and longing for a combination of rocking the kasbah interiors to soft neutral quiet autumn color palettes as this wonderful fall season approaches. can we have the best of both worlds? can we make it work? i say yes we can!(via)
i'm loving the twist on bench seating this particular piece offers, by dune, n.y. and the color scheme is right with us! here.

get a little daring with your wallcoverings. i saw this in a design magazine this past weekend and thought it ethereal and mysterious but soft and elegant in a way. these unbelievable wallcoverings can transform a space in an instant. (via.)

accents of pewters, silvers, tarnished tones make for a rich, welcoming space. texture~wise and tone~wise. this gorgeous image (via.)

lots of shiny gold and silver color palettes and tiny touches. (or big ones!) (via.)

fullness in patterns, textures, color palettes. not overdone. just full~up warmth!(via)

ok, who doesn't love the bedding offered up by robshaw? luxurious, yet light and warm all at the same time. inviting, exotic and dreamy. (via)

i want my house to be dripping in deep burgundy, flowers that is ;)
(via)

punches, zip, pizazz, mystery, happy color, energy. fall color palettes offer all of that.
(via)

keeping it interesting this fall doesn't mean blah. it can mean earthy, calming, quiet, natural, cozy but with all of that, mixed in a little twist via art you've purchased or a cool antique store find, like these birds! (via)

in my mind, pairing moroccon inspired texture, pattern color schemes alongside nature, natural washed tones and rich woody tones can make for a very interesting space as we gear up for autumn. creating a space with a moroccon flair doesn't have to hurt your eyes, it doesn't have to be over the top, in your face. but bits and pieces of that influence, the richness of the history can spill over into any space. inviting. winking at us, in a super fun exotic nature that intrigues many of us. enjoy!

a smattering of quirky eclectic.

my head is a bit mish-mash after classes last night, so with that said, i needed inspiration from a variety of sources to jump-start my mind and my day today! and i just gotta tell ya, this world of ours is never lacking in creativity, quirky and completely unusual and entertaining designers. not lacking at all...see,

funny little mirrored wall hangers. from porada, here.

stunning pillows from b&b italia. yeah, we love them. here.

movable, self watering hedge. bringing the outdoors, indoors. here.

vitra wall clocks, not your average wall clocks, here.

funky everything from freedom of creation, here.

x marks the spot with these unusual book cases. by mox and here.

exotic, erotic and super eclectic nina levett handmade ceramics. here.

unique mirror from lladro, here.

gorgeous tactile fabrics from fanny aronsen. here.

it's thursday, and so it's almost friday, right? what are you up to? i'm off to run some errands, no wait, let me back up, eat breakfast since my dinner pretty much was half of a candy bar last night, yikes, then i need to focus for a paper that is due soon, which means a mocha will be in order i'm thinking. to clear the cobwebs. :) it's sunny where i am, which is also a boost of energy for me! so i'm off, wherever you are, enjoy!!!

flower vessels.

in my recent elle decor magazine, they featured an article about vessels. flower vessels. and with all of the amazing blooms, buds, branches and stems out there right now, what better to post about than vessels to hold your little beauties. elle decor featured some beauties and offer a great slideshow with links to all of these fabulous vessels.

i don't know about you all but i always treat myself to fresh flowers. at the shop i buy them weekly and rotate out the vessel that holds them, from large and striking to tiny and dainty and feminine. right now i have a tall clear cylindrical vase holding giant gladiolas , they are brilliant red and more blooms are popping out every day.

i have to have flowers near me, they make me happy, literally. i love walking into the shop and having them to ogle all day long. they enhance my displays of glass cake stands housing beautiful chocolate as well. they compliment the chocolate and they offer a bit of warmth and beauty to the space.

if you have to have fresh flowers, what do you prefer, choose, or cannot live without? or do you love to mix it up and constantly buy different? what are your favorite vessels to hold your flowers? for the most part i mix it up, from breaking off flowering branches in my neighborhood to purchasing something unusual at my local florist. what's your fancy? enjoy!
