Happy Sunday!

i hope that you are all having a fantastic weekend. my son is staying with me this weekend. he always discusses new music, and shares with me new bands or ways that musicians are communicating their music or message. so i'm sharing this with you, which he shared with me today.

and during this crazy time, the power of isolation is worth remembering now and then.

enjoy!

hi, how are you doing?

hoping you are coping your way through this funky fog. at the very least the summer is popping wide open and hopefully lifting all of our spirits with the sun and fresh air and promises of falling asleep on sandy towels and swimming and and yeah...
(via)
have you gone through certain withdrawals since this virus started like i have? missing going out for a drink socially, people watching, combing through the amazing racks of used clothing at my local good will (and the one near my house is seriously great) for that hidden treasure find, popping into stores spontaneously, trying food from that restaurant that you were about to try for the first time, walking slowly through aisles of nail color looking for a new tone, sitting in my hair stylists chair and talking about whatever pops up that day and leaving feeling refreshed and amazing, all of those things. and then slowly the withdrawals wane and you begin taking pleasure in other things around you, inside and outside your isolation, because, well you have to, and then that becomes enough. this must be how the waves go if you were stranded on a deserted island. and maybe we sort of are right now. and maybe i'm a bit guilty (ok alot guilty) for taking all of those silly things for granted. i promise not to do it when we get back to it. pinky swear.

and some finds from around the world wide web. stay positive and think social drinking thoughts, it will all come.

would love to be quarantined here.

just put up this light over my dining room table. thinking this pendant for my kitchen window. or maybe this one?  ok, one more here. veerrrrry into the tiki woven look at my little beach house.

currently saving for this rug for my new living room, obsessed.

pretty front porch lighting.

bathroom dreams.

yum!

this colorful home makes me happy. those red floors! looooooooove them!

a pretty pendant.

pretty raffia wallcovering for a splash of color.

just bought these shoes.

these shorts, that color.

as we look to our vintage scarves and bandanas as masks, how about a bandana dresss, or a bandana top? very cool!

i just bought these dining chairs in the black finish with cary linen seats. can't wait!

love garance, and her podcast on sex and relationships during quarantine is a great listen, especially if you want to laugh (so many truths!, ha) :)

looking for memorial day sales, she's got you covered.

enjoy!

happy happy new year!!

hey! a fresh year is upon us, and so what are you thinking...feeling...hoping for?
(via)

i have had amazing opportunities this year. i started a new job somewhere dear to me, i have met new friends, co-workers, i moved to the city, alot of adjustments, changes & excitement with all of that. i've developed a love/hate relationship with the T, i pushed myself in 2017, i wanted to. i really enjoyed 2017, even though, to me, it flew by!

and so a fresh new year is here, how will you build your new beginning? i'd love to hear! here are some goals (some lofty, some not) that i have for the new year, i'm just putting them out there...

i want to adopt a dog.

i would like to volunteer my time.

i want to buy a vintage car.

i want to paint more.

i want to smile more.

i want to plan a long road trip with my adopted dog :).

i want to listen to more live music.

i want to take a vacation to somewhere i've never been with my son.

i would like to try to make one new recipe a week.

i want to be a patron, here.

i want to buy a house.

i am seriously going to bring my blue tooth speaker on the T with me one day, turn the music up loud, and see if anyone will dance with me on the way to work. ha!

happy new year!

do you own a home?

and if so, what was it you were looking for that sold you?
(images)
was it the location that drew you to it? the style? or was it just a feeling that you can't explain, something that just pulled at you and said this is it, this is home? as i get older, i'm finding my tastes changing...and sometimes in pretty surprising ways. it's not that i've strayed too far from my original dreams or desires, but they have interesting twists now, views and attractions that my younger self would have never predicted.

i've never owned a home. and it's not that i haven't wished to, the right time, the right place/space just hasn't presented itself. or maybe i'm feeling a little less wanderlust and a little more planted. anyway, just thinking out loud. i'd love to hear your home buying feedback. enjoy!

have a terrific weekend!

happy friday! the weekend is just around the corner, what are you up to?
(via)
i am indulging in a much needed day off today. i had a list of plans and haven't started one of them yet. maybe that's a good thing! i'm on the hunt for a new library book. i live down the street from a library and there is something so relaxing to me lately about walking on summer afternoons to the library to pick out my next book. it's the simple things sometimes.

i also hope to take a while and poke through one of my favorite vintage/used clothing stores in boston. it's been a while. in between that you'll find me taking a nap, savoring summer and planning a december get-away. i hope that your weekend is everything you want it to be.

and it's friday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:

would be SO fun to go watch
!

i've always called living near the water, living near "the edge". it's where i'm most happy. now i know why.

wishing i had a beautiful summer yard for this set, was my favorite game growing up.

cool mailboxes.

cool culottes. say that 5 times fast.

this embrace cuff.

this ivory jumpsuit
is perfection.

also loving in white, (well all of the colors really) a feminine end of the summer dress. see it on her here.

loving this fabric!

wanting this blue ship artwork bad.

love this rattan outdoor set for summer (and a great deal!). via.

could be the most beautiful bottle opener, ever.

i always have fun looking at her new arrivals.

for fall, etsy love.

i found this super interesting and inspiring this week.

this too.

a fitting t-shirt based on recent hateful events.

ok and to end, this was just awesome.
enjoy!
