have a beautiful weekend!

(via)

spring is here, can you feel it? after the crazy year that was 2020, i feel that we are all opening up, like cracking out of an egg shell and that everything is looking fresh and new again. so if we gain that perspective after all is said and done, i guess that's pretty neat.

my leg is healed (last xray this month), i'm back to my beach and my ocean. taking longer and longer walks and so happy that i'm beginning this new year healthy. i hope that you are having a beautiful weekend.

what are you up to? anything fun? you'll find me in the yard checking on my plantings from last year and hoping they made it through this cold winter. writing. sipping wine and reading my recent book purchase (see below).

and some fun finds from around the world wide web:

a cool collaboration in design

california-based heath ceramics and hygge & west have paired design talents to create a striking line, (chock full of line by the way!) of wallpaper patterns that is "a vibrant dynamic look softened by hand drawn lines." this line is playful, it's about pattern and energy...
each wallpaper design is screenprinted by hand...making for an extra special wall treatment in any residential or commercial space. i am especially drawn to the "arcade" pattern in gold. something even more special about that one! see more of the heath ceramics inspired line, here and read more about the collaboration, here. & enjoy!

vacation inspiration: hotel panache, paris

not that paris isn't already on most of our vacation inspiration wishlists, the hotel panache more specifically, is on my vacation inspiration radar, bigtime...
hotel panache is located in the heart of paris, on 1 rue geoffroy-marie and is, as they say on their homepage, "deliciously sophisticated." it really is stunning in my opinion. AD Magazine, France, featured them in april of this year (here) and my jaw dropped. the magazine raved about it (especially the food!) and particularly touted the collaboration between owner adrian gloaugen and the amazing decorator dorothee meilichzon and describes the finished spaces as quirky with all angles and corners" and that it is already becoming "the new hideout in fashion."

but that's paris right? all kinds of quirky angles and corners? i love that. and i love what dorothee has accomplished here. the rich burnt orange tones, the stark, glossy white tile, the brass vintage-esque lighting, the fun textural wallpapers throughout the bedrooms, the overall color palette is sexy and comforting. see more of hotel panache's gallery here. and get your calendar out, you'll want to add hotel panache to your list of vacation destinations. i am. enjoy!

glamora wallpaper

if you are looking to make a serious statement in designing your space, whether it be residential or commercial, glamora wallpapers will send you reeling...
if i clicked on it, i shared it with you. that's how i had to narrow down the unique and special (at least to me) here. sure some are bold and in your face and just wow. but imagine the second to last image i've shared in a new baby or children's room? or a hospital nursery for a commercial setting? imagine that last image (actually one of my favorites, as is the first) in an unexpected setting like a formal dining room of a home where you are looking for just the right thing to keep people guessing, to keep them guessing about your style, to keep them guessing about you for that matter.

super fun right? enjoy!
