matter of stuff

the london based design gallery, matter of stuff, is coming up with some tempting, well, stuff. luring us in with product chock full of creativity, color and texture. have a look at a few of my recent favorites...
and these are very random, i just liked them each in one way or another. what i like about matter of stuff is that you can peruse their pages for home accessories that will offer your spaces something a bit out of the ordinary, pops of texture, wow pieces or unusual design, and some color palette fun too. it's a pretty cool shopping option. look at more of what matter of stuff offers here. and enjoy!

monte cushions.

hand-woven in argentina, these "monte cushions" in this winter white and grey color palette would be simply beautiful additions to a living room or bedroom right about now...
the company is pampa and their products (rugs & throws too!) are made by artisans in rural argentinian villages. from sheep's wool and woven on a circular loom with a feather insert. some have colorful pompom additions if you are looking for a vibrant hint of color in your spaces. but with the milky winter skies surrounding me these days, i'm drawn to the soft neutral color palette. check out more of what pampa offers up here. & enjoy!

(1,2,3,4,5)
i found some favorites on etsy the other day (links above). how great are these for christmas gifts? or hostess gifts? (and perfectly priced) add a unique & beautiful plant and voila! plus you are supporting the hand-made aspect of etsy. love this idea! enjoy...

my warehouse goods.

i stumbled upon the lofty goodness of my warehouse home at the same time i found a fun new blog (and chock FULL of interior eye candy), happy interior blog...
my warehouse home is one of those shops that gives you really good design bones, and you have to run with it. minimalistic, perfect design for small or lofty spaces. it's almost like they challenge you to take each piece and place it, style it, arrange around and in combination with any of your own pieces, to enhance your already cool space. you know, make it cooler. so that's fun! enjoy!

the trestle union.

let's ease into this monday morning eyeing (and me wishing for) these oh so pretty white pot plant stands from the trestle union...
new zealand based trestle union is nikolai sorensen & mike grobelny, designers who believe good design can be affordable. the trestle union offers up some interesting tables as well, but these pot plant stands in white grabbed my attention today. especially since i'm on a green plant kick these days!

i enjoy nikolai and mike's use of slim, clean lines in their design which, as they say portrays objects as "visually lightweight despite their sturdy construction." these come in 3 different sizes/heights, so you can choose what you prefer. or just order all 3. that's what i would do. enjoy!

bent wood jumper.

i have to say, for some reason i'm not really an air plant person, but these orange bent wood "jumper" plant stands offered up by 11 main are eye catching...
kind of cool for desktops, window sills or other small nooks and crannies you have. that are in need of cool bent wood planters. right? enjoy!

mid-century modern planters.

sugar & cloth recently featured this fun diy project, sending my cactus-loving mind reeling...
this is one of those diy projects that seems relatively easy and that pulled off that mid-century modern feel in a really great way. and let me tell ya', sugar and cloth has pages of other really great diy projects, (like making edible chocolate messages?! yes!) if you like that sort of thing...enjoy!

p.s. and how about mixing up this project with more leg options, from pretty pegs? now we are really getting downright creative!

for inside the house, or outside the house, i love these zinc hanging spheres today, offered up by terrain...
and wouldn't they actually be a very pretty (and cool!) valentine's gift? an unusual way of giving flowers? why yes it would...enjoy!
