i was in a book store the other day, flipping through very expensive design magazines and came across
rebecca atwood's pillows, textiles and artwork. and then i read that her
inspiration for them came from her upbringing on cape cod...
so her choice of patterns, textures, color palette combinations became
clearer to me. we've walked the same beaches, been surrounded by the same winds and waters.
rebecca is now brooklyn based but the history is still there, of what she's seen, felt and remembered about cape cod. a beautiful place. and inspiring beautiful pillows. she also keeps a really great and current blog, with fabulous sketchbook drawings where she plays around with pattern ideas, ideas that inspire her to create her next piece, or product. check it out
