how to get there...

i first read this short poem by leunig on bookmarks blog, here. i ended last year a little bit anxious and impatient. because once i realize the things i want in life, i want them. it's just how i am. but i have had to remember that there is sometimes a process, a wait until you get there. i like this poem, for what it says, & for what it doesn't say.

here's how it goes...

"go to the end of the path until you get to the gate.
go through the gate and head straight out towards the horizon.
keep going towards the horizon.
sit down and have a rest every now and again,
but keep on going, just keep on with it.
keep on going as far as you can.
that's how you get there."
