whether stark, full of color and pattern, spaces can have a quiet feel all their own. sometimes i'll walk into my own living room, the sun is streaming in the windows, jazz playing on the stereo and my cat steven is snoozing away in a ball and for a second, i notice how lovely the quietness is of the whole space. the mood is perfect. it's refreshing and invigorating all at once. i love that!
