elnaz nourizadeh & happy friday!

iranian born potter and artist elnaz nourizadeh now lives in melbourne and is making some amazingly beautiful hand-made products...
i am especially drawn to her vibrant plates (dishwasher and food safe!). from the color palettes to her deft use of splashy line, each is unique, perfectly imperfect and would make for original & special christmas gifts by the way. just saying...happy friday and enjoy!

stuff. in between stuff.

thought i'd say hi as i'm currently assessing past, current and future goals...
(cute note pads via)

this note pad somewhat defines me lately. i'm (and whether this is a good or bad thing is still pending) an incessant goal digger. i'm constantly on the move in my creative imagination, plotting and planning a whole host of goals & aspirations...to do better, to be a better person, to remain constantly challenged, intrigued, and sort of forced to keep fresh, at all times. but that can get exhausting, all of that goal digging.

and sometimes, in the midst of running around, looking for the next challenge or project, or job, sometimes i think it's the decisions we don't make that are sometimes the right ones. as i contemplate my next professional challenge, my next project or position that i want to throw all of my energy toward, i have found inspiration here lately, (and been made to laugh) in between stuff. and this has kept me going...

this made me laugh recently. finally.

just when i think my own life is complicated, or needs helping these people really help people, in the end.

i should probably purchase this mug.

diane von furstenberg on careers and love.
an inspirational & clear path i needed today.

these creative mornings clips are keeping me going.

enjoy!

have a fun weekend!

seeking soothing spaces lately, as we all run around, thinking of christmas and all that is on our plates...
(via)
how was your week? mine flew right by, busy, busy, busy! i'm looking forward to slowing down this weekend (or trying to!), taking in my surroundings, getting excited about the holidays and yeah.

i'll be around this weekend with some musical inspiration. until then, have a great friday friends! enjoy your weekend...

"split" chairs by ton.

i find the gradient colors of these wooden "split" chairs offered up by ton more than interesting today...
they sure would make pretty kitchen or dining chairs. just saying...

jujujust wall hangings.

i was never quite sure if i was a fan of the woven wall hanging phase we seem to be going through...
so many seemed the same. until i saw these, offered up by north carolina based jujujust. i imagine vast farms, sunsets and waterfalls, desert landscapes and rolling hills, all so beautifully abstract. it's hard to choose a favorite! enjoy....

etsy planters. great gift ideas!

i am loving the look and feel of greens in my interior spaces lately. but they feel even more special when placed in the perfect planter...
(1,2,3,4,5)
i found some favorites on etsy the other day (links above). how great are these for christmas gifts? or hostess gifts? (and perfectly priced) add a unique & beautiful plant and voila! plus you are supporting the hand-made aspect of etsy. love this idea! enjoy...

complete table love.

new york city based gallery & showroom, matter is offering up some AMAZING table options...
but i'm not going to sugar coat it, they are not for the faint of wallet...

according to matter they "represent a refined selection of national and international contemporary designers," and detects "what lies beyond the horizon in design." um, and it shows. browsing through the table designs matter features (oh, and everything else, lighting, seating, storage options etc.) i was literally tripping over spectacular to the even more spectacular. it really doesn't end.

these were a few of my absolute favorites (if pressed to select only a few). but there were more, oh so many more. enjoy!

monday & load chairs.

lately loving these "load" chairs offered up by the seriously fabulous italian design company billiani...
made from solid beech and with the two back options of colored rope or solid wood, these "load" chairs are fun, interesting and as billiani states "are designed to bestow a new mood on the chair." i want one in every color. enjoy!

i saw her live last weekend. just so great! enjoy...

have a happy holiday!

i'ts funny how amongst the daily stresses of life, job, you name it, that once things settle, once things quiet down, the tiny bad particles of all of that fall away and the lighter brighter bits linger, they become more clear, you are energized & inspired, to be you, to just be. there is alot to be thankful for...

that's all i have today. enjoy your thanksgiving!

revolution design house.

portland oregon based revolution design house is tempting me today bigtime with these geometric painted sidecar & boxcar planters...
made from a clean walnut and painted with accents of color such as robins egg blue and orange, dylan lynch and joe gibson, founders of revolution design house believe that you should "love what you own". well i'd love to own one of their planters. and what about grabbing one as an interesting christmas gift? just saying...enjoy!

monday & rackk & ruin.

now that i'm really looking towards christmas gift ideas (no, not for me. no! ha!), i'm stumbling over the prettiest things, like this beautiful line of jewelry offered up by designer molly conant & rackk & ruin. have a look...
"rackk & ruin is a sun drenched studio and retail shop" in burlington vermont. and if you are not living in or visiting burlington vermont any time soon (though i encourage you too, it's beautiful!) at least we can purchases molly's original jewelry pieces on line. phew!

and she offers up so much more than earrings. i just had to focus on one line that i loved! see more here, and get xmas shopping! enjoy...
