sometimes with weeks like this i like to look back and consider what i've accomplished (or not!). during the long past weekend i did manage to get to one of my favorite beaches, where you can walk for miles (literally). the seals swim along side you as you walk the shore. the more i talk to them, the longer their heads stay out of the water looking at you in curiosity. i love that!

i had my new vintage car detailed, like to the max. i almost didn't recognize it when i picked it up. made me smile for days.

i also stopped by a new to me farm to table shop and bought a small painting. will take a photo once i hang it. my goal is to keep buying (and hanging only original artwork, whatever the medium may be). so there was all that. i am STILL procrastinating over beginning a legit running routine. i mean procrastinating more than i have ever. not sure why. i feel like hybernating each morning and just not doing it. i know that once i get back into it i will be inspired. maybe this weekend is the morning it all begins, again. ;)

cozy spaces.

now that fall is approaching, i've found myself pulling out down comforters and smothering my couch with pillows...

these are some cozy spaces i could spend time in today. one thing, at least to me, that keeps spaces feeling alive and vibrant on grey stormy days is the additions of greens. a little or a lot. i think that they add to the cozy in a fresh way. enjoy!

some northern icon pieces sit more classically, some more playful and colorful (for that unexpected wow piece!), and some you are drawn to just because you really like it (like that velour circus pouf). that's what a design company worth its weight does, it offers you tons of options depending on your overall style, look, or that absolute wow piece that you are going for. enjoy!

happy monday friendss! i'm lately loving much of the seating line coming out of the italian design company quinti...

but if i had to select a favorite, it's quinti's ginerva line, desinged by roberto baciocchi. i think that as far as this particular line goes, i'm half in love with the top of each piece and i'm half in love with the spindly legs that each piece sits on.

i find the line fresh but with nods to avant garde designers before them. they are elegant but fun. roberto has designed commercially for years as well, developing architectural spaces for the likes of prada and miu miu. you can read more about roberto's accomplishments here. and enjoy!
