last minute wish list.

so, i have a last minute wish list going. most of it is surprisingly realistic. and most stems from the fact that it's snowy outside right now, that it's christmas and that i have a break from classes. so, and because of all of those things, i give you, my last minute wish list...

with snow surrounding my little cottage right now, i'll be seeking out all of the sunny spots that i can find, and to read my book choices (see below). via analog dialog.
let me just tell you, i would LIVE in this t-shirt dress. wouldn't you? via one of my favorite shops to peruse, luphia.

one of my wishes while i'm on break from classes is to work on a little artwork,(i have a few projects going that need tending to!) and hopefully display it in a fabulous way, as in this fab space, via desire to inspire.

or similar to this display of various artwork mediums, (via)
just plain loving these yoga pants! via kaya yoga wear on etsy.

to wear a little glitz, a little glam this holiday season. every girl should be a just a little bit sparkly, no? via hallelu.

january wish: to read a book or two that i want. that is not required for class. and actually finish it! like this, this, or this. (via)
how cozy does this alpaca neck warmer seem? sooo cozy that's what. love! via pip-squeak chapeau etc. (made in brooklyn!)

what about you? do you have a last minute wish list? if so, what is one thing you want the most? do share! for me right now, it's really just time. time to dress up, time to paint, time to read, time to bake (my fiance would laugh at that one, since i do not bake, or well, but still enjoy it!). i'm off to wrap, run around, relax, and enjoy these last days leading up to christmas! you enjoy too...;)

the power of the line.

i discovered these amazing rugs offered by now carpets and noticed how truly powerful something as simple as a line, can be.

actually, when it comes to rugs i am more drawn to the simpler designs. sometimes, even though a space may be more plain, neutral and without texture or pattern, our instinct is to throw a very "busy" rug design into the space, when what really might set the space off or pull it together is a few, simple, lines. visit now carpets site for more beautiful lines and many other fabulous rugs. now. ;)

it's countdown to christmas time friends! with this semester behind me, i'm off to the stores today for some last minute finds. and there is snow all around me to keep me in the christmas mood. enjoy!!

getting ready to wrap ideas.

so! my last night of final exams and papers for this semester was well, last night. i am giddy beyond words about having a short break and have only really today, begun to get immersed in the christmas spirit. to treat myself yesterday (and to kind of give myself a pat on the back for finishing alot of work), i began wrapping. today i will hunker in (it has been snowing and snowing!) and wrap some more! i wanted to share a few christmas gift wrapping ideas that while poking around, i thought were really just great...

cutting out your own creative snow~flakes, what a fab idea! you could pick from an amazing amount of the many beautiful papers out there today, like going with this bright and cheery orange, to mix it up a bit! via the happy home.

super imaginitive, evoking exotic travel, or perhaps tickets to somewhere are inside? oh~so~clever! via design sponge.
this look had me at the tags! don't you just think this is pure genius? via design sponge.
treehugger suggests eco-friendly ways to wrap. i love the abstract, hap~hazardly way this gift was put together. really fun!
doilies! so pretty! enough said. via the room remix.
one of my favorite mediums to work with is paper. i'm a sucker for paper boutiques, with gobs of wonderful hand~made papers, the kind you just don't see anywhere else. i love the use of these tags too! via the design files.
while glitz and glam have their place during the holidays, so too do natural bits of green. i adore adding tid~bits of natural greens to top your presents. via unicorn boutique.
how easy and how sweet? you could grab bunches of these little pom~poms from your local craft store and voila! instant cutie~pie wrap! via unicorn boutique.
i think this deep red letterpressed winterberry design is simply gorgeous! via the style files.
have you wrapped your presents yet? have you come up with other amazingly creative ideas? if so, please share! sometimes it doesn't take alot of effort to deviate from the norm, the typical and add your own sort of mark on wrapping, making the recipient feel just a little bit more special than they already do. enjoy!

plastic fantastic.

this plastic fantastic collection offered up by jspr is one of their most popular lines. furniture completely covered in rubber, super soft, super flexible and super durable. just super then! i especially love the red for the holidays. i'm not sure i'd like an entire home of rubber furniture, but imagine one piece as that ultimate conversation piece? it would be fun no? hope your monday is starting off fantastic. ;) i'm wrapping up a paper, then braving the snow and heading to boston for my last final of the semester! yeah for me. enjoy!

the suspense, i'm feeling it this sunday!

(via)
eeks! we are supposed to get a little snow tonight (scary because i have one more final tomorrow night in boston, not scary because my fiance has a truck and will make sure i get there). with the prospect of snow coming to my area, christmas for me is getting all the more sparkly, all the more exciting, all the more real. i cannot wait! are you madly shopping today? wrapping? baking? i'm finishing a final paper and will later look around for some of my favorite christmas specials on t.v.

p.s. for all of you holiday travelers out there, you have to watch this video! i hope all of you are greeted like this!
enjoy!!!

residence.

happy friday friends! i thought that in between christmas shopping, baking, picking up family from airports, taking family to airports, wrapping and decorating, it might be fun to sit and be completely inspired by a new~to~me~find, residence.

i'm not even kidding, there are tons of pages, gobs of interior and exterior eye candy here at residence. i still have 2 papers to write and one final left before my semester is over and it will really feel like christmas, so the welcome interruption of finding this fab new site, has been well received! here's to hoping you take a breather this weekend, put your feet up, actually taste & enjoy something that you are baking, grab a glass of wine (or two) and enjoy!!!
