lady gaga likes it, french artist and designer justine clenquet's jewelry line, chock full of chunky punk aesthetics with a strong influence of "underground culture and a nostalgic hint of the nineties"...
yet i also find a lean toward classic elegance, modern twists utilizing edgy styled metals, and noting that the circle in much of justine's line, connects everything, it connects many of fashion's design eras, it connects materials & metals, thin to thicker, chunky to delicate, bad girl to good girl. it's all just very cool. enjoy!

studio twocan: cement ceramics
i found these just really pretty today, these cement ceramic pots created and offered up by australian-based studio twocan...
inspired by australian sunsets, founders, artists and sisters maddie and becc sharrock color each ceramic pot, creating an organic layering effect. then each piece is "polished with natural oils, sealing the cement with a satin finish."
i love the rough and raw nature to them which is softened by the easy patterns and the relaxed sunset color palette. so many types of beautiful plants would be even more amazing in these. enjoy!

artist feature: adam frezza & terri chiao are chiaozza
new york based artist duo adam frezza & terri chiao of "chiaozza" (pronounced like "wowza" or "yowza") explore across "a large range of media, including painted sculpture, installation, collage and photography", but it's the collaboration on their "miami" and "gowanus" wooden stained sculptures that have grabbed my attention today...

if you like these, see more here too. i really enjoy the fact that they tempt you into a more utilitarian use, as a shelf or display case. standing alone or clustered together they are positive in their design and color. they're just really fun aren't they? the manipulation of the wood, the line, the color applied is curious and simply interesting. i could look at these all. day. long. enjoy!
