echo & earl, a photography crush.

echo and earl are shooting some interiors (and more!) for some of my favorite go to bloggers, who are particular, (and should be!) and now i know why...
they are also bloggers (anne sage, designlovefest to name a few) who have simply nailed their look, their brand and with the help of talented photographers like echo earl. there is a particular light to their photography, they make interiors, they make people and every day objects shine. easier said than done. just fixated on echo and earls' work today, check out more of their accomplishments here. and enjoy!

monday & white on white.

lately i simply cannot get enough of soft, neat and clean white on white...
(images: here & here)
i have literally packed ALOT away lately and am living sparsely and just sort of more calmly. and loving it. as far as your living spaces, what do you need to come home to? to shake off a work day or all of the stresses that come with any random day at times? maybe you crave color? or warm woods galore? or pattern and texture? i'd love to hear!

it's friday and the weather in my part of the world has been pure indian summer...
(via)
people are in shorts (in november!) and i saw a guy walking the other day without a shirt. crazy! but hey, i'll take it ;) and so with that it's hard to even consider christmas is coming (and winter weather. shhhhhh!). my mind is still in summer mode, can't shake it!

and i thought that since it was friday i'd throw a few more fun things your way:

free people is dressing up hair.

a cool way to display a world map.

now THIS is a large house.

an "infill house" between two houses.

it's like a bureau on a wall.

a really neat reacting flower installation.

wanting one of each of these.

such a pretty bathing space.

love the after in this before and after.

melanie rothschild is doing amazing things with paint.

really want this ring.

and this pin.

cool cracked log lamps.

have a good one friends! enjoy the heck out of your weekend...

color & line.

random color & line(s) i'm drawn to today...
(sources)
enjoy!

hussl.

the austrian desing company hussl is tempting me this morning with some super sweet seating...
i think that these, with their soft muted color palette would make for the perfect kitchen/dining chairs paired with an unexpectedly different table (like this, or this or even this!. just kind of cool. enjoy!

artist michael carson.

artist michael carson is on my radar today...
obviously a talented painter. but there is a particularly quiet glamor that michael captures in each model. i found michael's artwork through design crush's blog. design crush's kelly beall nails it when she writes that each of michael's paintings "draws the viewer right in. making them long for the chance to take part in the magic."

beall further writes about michael's talent for building hazy scenes for his characters. she nailed it again. i find his paintings to be lovely and thoughtful. hope you enjoy!

re-imagining the work space.

so this my friends, is a new work space in china. ah, yeah...
(images via)
i've been thinking alot about work spaces lately. especially as summer has waned and we are all back to business. and sometimes (and many of us probably don't want to) we reflect on how much time we spend in any given work space. in our lifetime. ok, i'll stop...

but seriously, LLLab has reimagined this fresh and inspiring work space for leo digital networks in china. redifining a company's culture really, how it presents itself, how it exists and how all of that affects everyone participating in it. in assisting a company to thrive, don' we need to thrive inside and outside it? yes! THIS is what i'm talking about...enjoy!

the santorini light.

this "santorini" outdoor lighting offered up by marset has captured my attention today...
modeled after lanterns found on fishing boats these santorini lights can be hung individually or why not cluster them? creating multiple compositions. i love how marset displays them hung loosely, as if almost temporarily, which adds interest as well.

marset is headquartered in spain but you can find the availablity of their product line in the u.s. (new york, of course!) as well. so...no excuses in not finding great outdoor lighting. enjoy!

the. perfect. sofa.

every now and then i come across the. perfect. sofa. that is until i see another one...
but seriously, today, this these are it. truck furniture offers up that kind of seating, the kind that looks like it has lived a lifetime already and been meticulously looked after. rich materials and colors, warm inviting leather, it is as if they are sitting there & saying hello old friend!

i love that! enjoy...
