queen cage light.

i've always loved the look of those industrial cage lamps used during construction projects. but this "queen cage" chandelier offered up by the italian company zava takes cage lights to a whole new and amazing level...
and as zava describes, the electrical fabric cables become part of the design with this chandelier. and by the way the cables come in a variety of colors as well. there is an interesting dynamic occurring with this design. industrial meets regal meets feminine meets masculine, you could go on and on. certainly a conversation piece for your residential or commercial spaces. don't you think? enjoy...

5 different moods.

these 5 "mood" chairs offered up by artifort provide interesting visual options for your work spaces, depending on your style, the sort of base you prefer, and whatever mood you are in...
five different looks, one for each day of the work week. a mood for every mood. and after all, that's aritfort's slogan. perfect! enjoy...

monday & gaia repossi jewelry.

so this stunning jewelry line by gaia repossi isn't messing around. each piece is expensive (cough) but it's also aaaaaaaamazing. hold on to your hats...
(via)
i have to say, i have not been super drawn to any particular jewelry line in quite some time. but gaia's line stopped me today. in my bare fingered jewelry tracks. her pieces aren't for the faint of heart, style-wise or price-wise. but if you are in the market to purchase one new shazam piece soon, at the very least take a look at gaia's line, it is more than worth a look! enjoy...

hi five me!

excited this evening because yesterday i turned in the first draft of my graduate thesis. so hi five me!
it does not mean i'm finished, still revisions to go, binding the final product (yes i have to bind it) and then comes the real breathing time. but i have to admit, after months and months of research and weeks and weeks of being connected to the computer, i did at least breath a little last night.

oh, and you can purchase this cool print on etsy, here. if you are in the need of some hi fives too! enjoy...

optical tables, in stainless steel.

the miami based design firm lpdl or (luis pons design lab) states that they "mutate form and functions to discover new meaning and interpretations" in the design process...
in sifting through lpdl's collection, it was hard to choose a favorite piece to feature as they are all so extraordinary and gorgeous. but for some reason their line of stainless steel "optical tables" pulled at my design heartstrings this monday, bigtime.

simply shaped but reflective of anything and everything in their path, these tables are stunning, and certainly one of those "wow" pieces that i have always stated spaces need, residential or commercial spaces...these are definitely wow pieces...enjoy!
