domus. it's all about the shades.

this mid~week wednesday, i'm all about these shades. light shades that is. domus offers up a "light brings life" mentality. and with regard to interior design, domus calls lighting a "discrete element, also referred to as the fourth dimension in space." they also state that the affect of light also affects people, places. so true. and this is why i love this company and these lights...here are a few of my recent fav's...

there is an easy yet interesting textural element with these shades, modern yet not stand~off~ish. domus nails it with that. all of that!

how is your mid~week morning starting off. well, i made my coffee too weak (excuse for heading out for a mocha later as redemption), i have a gigantic work load in front of me (all inspiring but still, it's alot) and the sun is out. so with that, i'm off. the mocha and the sun will keep me going...enjoy your day friends!

a serious stairway.

this west side duplex in new york city, and designed by architects tsao & mckown has the most amazing staircase. oh, and the rest of the space is pretty rad too. check it out here.

this space or spaces, have a very zen/buddhist appeal. very east meets west meets the jetsons. very comfortable and extremely intriguing. the duplex is chock full of a super natural color palette. and with all of that, the stark white staircase appears and grabs you and invites you to wherever it leads. and you go. and you love that. i love that. enjoy!

i really (really) like this line of 3 cabinets offered up by brikolor. and a line with lines? even better...

super simple in design, yet elegant and dynamic. i want one in every room i tell ya!

how is your week starting out my friends? mine is unfolding with beaucoup graduate work, but inspiring and energizing. it always is, that's why i put myself through this ;) enjoy!

dip~dyed vases. pretty diy project.

for a sunny fall~ish afternoon (as is the case in my neck of the woods) these dip~dyed flower vases, easy peasy and feature on design sponge last year (how did i not see these?) are a pretty afternoon diy project. or for spring, or summer, or for weddings..the list goes on right?

just saying...i love this idea!! enjoy...

this afternoon, as it is grey (with bits of peeking sunshine) in my area. and a little grey in my head right now (lots of thoughts running ramped, and uncontrolled), i am drawn to the intense yet inviting color in these pins.

i love these table choices. period. i also get excited by how the addition of a really fabulous table, or changing out a table, small, large, useful or simply decorative, has a transformative effect on any environment, residential or commercial.

i stumbled upon interni and i'm so fortunate that i did. interni utilizes unique woods such as zebrano, ebony & rosewood. so now, they are even more cool than before. enough said. enjoy and happy friday friends!

good morning friends! i'm smack dab in the middle of a college week. i'm driving my son back to college today and i myself dive back into graduate courses this week. i hope your week is starting off in a super way too!

so, for now, this morning, as i run out the door and begin a week of running around, i'll contemplate this amazing space. i'll contemplate sipping strong coffee, and that jazz music is playing a little louder than normal. i'll contemplate my son and how smart he is and how that although i'm going to miss him, i'm so happy for him. enjoy!

i'm finding these willy guhl chairs super interesting and intriguing this monday morning. stil inspiration featured/styled this chair, check it out here.

from the organic shape to the natural color palette, these chairs are eye~catching. even deviating from an obvious space such as a patio or deck, and plunking one smack dab down in the middle of a bedroom or bathroom would be really fun!
