seeing these colors.

as i've been driving around this end of summer, entry into fall, i keep seeing homes with amazing gardens that are just hanging in there, they just wont' quit! in particular i keep seeing one very large flower, i'm going to have to look it up so i know what i'm seeing and what i'm talking about here, but the petals are enormous, it must love blooming at its peak this time of year. and it's in your face color. what color? this color....

isn't it just such a sexy color, vibrant and loud and rich in it's velvety saturated color? i will have to try to sneak a photo or two as i drive to show you what i mean about this flower. i have to tell ya, these larger than your face blooms have made it a pleasure getting to and fro. seriously a pleasure.
