it's really feeling like fall, as if the change has occurred almost overnight! are you up to anything fun & exciting this weekend?
(via)
i'm starting this book, this weekend (ny times review) can't wait. i have also been in a perfume slump, hardly wearing any for the last few years as everything is starting to smell the same to me. unexpectedly someone i know share this with me and i actually really liked it. never saw that coming.
i'm hoping to get in more outdoor runs (this is exceptional running weather), get creative with some home made pizza making this weekend and look for a new t.v. series to sink my chops into. i hope that your weekend is everything that you want it to be! and it's friday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:
loving these carved pill bowls.
super pretty patent leather boots for fall.
these are neat too.
really like this green velvet floating lucite chair.
toying with these hair tones for fall.
a fun fall gif.
blush velvet sneakers...yes please.
best do it yourself halloween costumes ever. i want to be this one!
a fun elephant side table.
vacation inspiration.
a beautiful fall cocktail list.
paper taxidermy.
a sleek office chair.
new to me fab find, the sale pages of the real real.
a great print.
this leather woven stool is cool. this one too!
a wild backpack.
i just love this perfectly square brass finish mirror.
a warm way to hold onto summer.
how delicious do these look?!
and i'm starting to give podcasts a go. i'm inspired to start here, based on her post. (i 've listened to the first one and i'm already HOOKED! you will find these beyond inspiring.)
enjoy!

céline fall & winter
it started with seeing a pair of ballet flats by céline on pinterest. loving them i had to see more of what céline is offering up for fall & winter and wow on the landscape color palettes from sky blue, to earth browns to corn golds and a range of ochres. and add in all of the differing textural combinations to each look and you have a very confident and remarkable line...
céline's fall & winter line is very layered, almost coated, rather like a landscape. it then and smashes up similar and very unlike color palettes which catches the eye and forces it to agree with the choices made by the designer. pieces are designed utilizing rich textiles and cloths such as leather and suede trenches, then paired with feminine soft, thin, satiny silk slip dresses making for eclectic ensembles.
these were a few of my favorites from the fall & winter céline line, but make your own choices, see so much more here, and enjoy!

YEAH! furniture
los angeles based YEAH! furniture (and can we just begin with how cool the name is please?!) is certainly something to get excited about. they claim that they make statement pieces (second cool thing to love) and they do by re-imagining "mid-century modern design with a modern california edge. and maybe that is just perfect in that YEAH! furniture is so perfectly about edges, and line in their design...all utilizing raw materials such as "hardwoods, leather, steel, wool, powdercoat and rope"...
each piece is made in los angeles, it's "livable luxury" as YEAH! furniture states made by a collaborative of uber artistic designers. they beg you to go ahead and dance on the tables, that their line is "designed to wear in, never out." there are so many places and spaces to imagine any one (or all!) of YEAH! furniture's pieces, residential or commercial. super versatile, super cool. enjoy!

frederik kurzweg design studio
trained as a cabinet maker, german artist and furniture designer frederik kurzweg worked on bent metal pieces in completing his masters of arts program...
utilizing materials such as vinylester resins, polyester & epoxy, "reinforced with glass and carbon fibers", frederik has created some incredibly interesting & innovative furniture and lighting objects. i'm especially drawn to his "superpose pendant lamp in blush pink." love this! see more of frederik's work here & enjoy...
