fashion trend like: the jumpsuit

i'm not sure if i'm behind, and that the jumpsuit fashion trend was already just SO 2015? but i'm planning on spring and summer of 2016 and the jumpsuit, dressy & casual, is on my fashion trend loving radar...

the end to a long week for me. for you too? well, all's well at the moment, glass of red wine in hand, watching a little golf from kuala lampur (i'm a golf geek who actually enjoys watching it on t.v., it helps me sleep! plus as the weather cools, i enjoy watching golf being played in warm, lush places). and yes i'm looking forward to sleep on a friday night. like i said, the end to a long week.

i soooooo hope that you too are enjoying your friday night, and looking forward to the rest of your weekend. i'm taking my son here for dinner here tomorrow night, for something different. i miss him when he's at college week after week. enjoy!

i really like these colors today. a mid~day color love affair.

this mid~day, as i take a break from studying (out in the sun working on my tan a little, which makes studying just a little bit easier to take ;) i'm drawn to these beachy, gold & washed out colors. those sand mixed with coral and ocean kind of colors. i want to surround myself in these colors today.

crazy beautiful white. mid~afternoon wow.

i stumbled upon a new fab resource, nowness (oh, and i love the name) through this post on bri's blog, designlovefest. and on nowness, this crazy beautiful space of white, just stopped me. dead in my design blog tracks....


now, let's be clear, an oversized pair of bright red lips for a sofa, would probably not be something i'd include in my own space. but i included it here because of just what it does to this all white space. it almost implodes the space, completely throwing what ever mood you were getting from all of that white, completely out the window. but you know what? i love that!

seletti's hybrid collection. fusing east & west

this tuesday i wanted to share with you a new~to~me product line offered up by seletti. i suppose you could say a fabulous new trend as well. i've mentioned before that i pick up vintage china plates, saucers, cups, you name it and i mix and match every bit of it in my cabinets. nothing matches. oh, and i also don't wait for christmas to use it. i use every piece, every day.

but what stopped me about seletti's choice of the same is the fact that they are mix and matching cultures and styles, right there on the plate, or the cup, or the saucer...





i swear, if i could to this in my own little cottage cabinets, i would! bust those plates up and piece them together! but seriously, how interesting to mix the styles of east and west design, or tendencies, of art, of color choices? maybe in some small way, seletti shows that the world really is just one small place, and that we all can coexist together? no? well, that's how i'll look at it today anyway ;) enjoy...

monday & richard lampert outdoors

i wanted to share with you this monday, this fresh start to a brand new week, a very summer~y, very fresh line of outdoor furniture offered up by richard lampert. easy, breazy comfortable. i'm drawn to the simple sensibility of lampert's summer~y product line, the natural nature of it.

and that tall chair, similar to a life guard stand? imagine that on a beautiful property, with any kind of fabulous view, whether it be the beach, or the mountains or a lake? you'd be alone up there and lost in outdoor thought. i love that!









my thoughts are running toward the outdoors lately. we've had bursts of spring (almost early summer bursts in boston) and that's turning my attention to outdoor options, color palettes, materials and style. it feels good to direct attention to outdoor thoughts. winter is nearing and end and right about now, i'm ready to hit one of those lampert lounge chairs, or that tall look~out chair and take in the air, take in the view. aaah, i can feel it now ;)
