artist feature: tom abbiss smith

i'm drawn today to the fresh, abstract & exploratory shapes and forms built up by artist tom abbiss smith...
matisse-esque in nature and design, tom abbiss smith "through both contemporary and traditional techniques such as digital collage, printmaking and painting" offers up a mixed color palette of pattern filled pieces.

tom works in many mixed medium ways, from wrapping paper to photography, but his collages are my absolute favorite. see more of tom's works here & enjoy!

found inspiration: fun fashion shoots

i'm just finding inspiration in these today, from the set design, the overall environment, the smashing up of color palettes, the textural introductions in so many creative ways. i started a fashion shoot inspiration board on pinterest because of it all...

are you often stimulated & inspired by the variety of fashion shoots out there? by the over the top ways in which designers choose to present or introduce a line or a particular look? there are times when less is more and there are times when having a ton of fun is just as perfect. don't you think? enjoy!
