to world's end, again

i'm someone who likes to be outside, alot. i run almost every day, and to get through the winter in new england, getting outdoors, looking out, looking up, being active, being still, is all it takes to rejuvenate & inspire me.

one of my favorite places to go is on the coast of massachusetts, to world's end. i went the other day and thought i'd share a few photos, in case you are interested...

clean lines & enne.

lately loving the super fresh and clean lines of product coming out of the turkish company enne. these are a few of my current favorites...

i've lived with a large sectional for the past few years. it too has clean lines but i'm in the market for something in a different style, mid-century modern to modern. something inviting but rather fit in style. enne offers a look that i'm drawn to, stately, easy on the eyes furniture. the kind you can live with, at least for a while...enjoy!

i've been bringing ethan to the beach since he was born, so that's nothing new. but new to both of us was this, this view without the arctic layers of stark white ice and snow. the entire winter it has looked as if you could walk forever on it. it's not quite to the spring level yet. the beach grass is still a cold, stamped down brown. the ocean is still the color of the grey winter sky. but there's promise. that's what we came to see. enjoy!

it's one of my favorite places on earth. there is something about this place, and i swear, even the seals know it too.

an apartment tour, oh & that i love...

did you guys catch the recent home tour of kate arend's home, from wit & delight? yowzers!

it's not often i feature and entire home tour. there are homes where i really love one room or the other, but not always the entire home. this is a home where not only do i love every room, i love every inch of every room.

kate and her husband live in minneapolis and kate wears many creative hats. you can see more of their home here and also read a great interview she gave there too. oh just some crazy beautiful interior eye candy to start your almost friday. enjoy!

3 flexform sofas.

i could have posted more than 3 flexform sofas today, because there were more that i liked. but these are my 3 favorites...

flexform is an italian based company (with a very sexy website), though they have affiliates in new york and chicago, so not too worry. if you are in the market for classically influenced but with a modern twist sofas.

but in the end what i most love about these flexform sofas (and the rest of their product line) is that there is a reserved beauty about each piece, but with a sexy edge. they're a bit flirty, and i love that! enjoy...

varier chairs. active sitting.

varier is a norwegian company, founded in 2006 and what they do is design furniture for active sitting. what does that mean? it means there are no arm rests, no definite contained areas or boundaries of the chairs, you can move, curl up, switch positions and move again. they encourage that...

i love this concept...varier believes that if you encourage active sitting, and offer ergonomic seating solutions, that you can improve your overall health, well being and maybe, just maybe, make you a little bit happier while you work, while you live, while you sit.

i see these in homes, i see these in many different types of commercial spaces and places. that's what's so great about these pieces by varier, there are active people everywhere. enjoy!

what's in store for you this weekend? i just got a packet from the fbi to peruse (ah, i know, sounds strange but i requested it, it's for a class), so i'll be going over stats for a paper i'm writing. also, reading for another class. but, just maybe i can grab a chair and head outside with my reading as this weekend promises to be spectacular weather~wise. we've had a truly amazing fall. seriously the weather has been beyond beautiful. i hope you enjoy, wherever you go, whatever you do! cause it's the weekend, get out there and relax ;) enjoy....
