gregory colbert.
about 2 years ago now i drove to new york with my fiance and my son ethan. i had heard about a guy who took these amazing photos of animals and many in sepia tone. his name is gregory colbert and not only was i intrigued by the subject matter, but that but he was taking his show on the road as a traveling exhibit and the entire exhibit was constructed out of containers, stacked and placed to form a long rectangle. upon entering, you witness the photos hung like ethereal angels whispering to you to notice them. white stone filled the perimeter inside, underneath the photos. super simple but super moving.
first you wonder how he captured any and all of these images because the final product will captivate you and leave you breathless. seriously. gregory colbert forces you to observe, feel, understand and appreciate animals in a completely different way than you thought you could. you understand their intelligence, their sensitivity, their perceptiveness, their intuitions and their love. crazy beautiful. if you can't take in a show of his, this video is a tiny sampling of what i felt. a good friend of mine just reminded me of this video and thought i'd share with you. enjoy! :)
