i don't know about you guys, but i think gold or any metallic element added to either a residential or commercial space is year round. it offers up some pizazz, some richness, some elegance and some spirit. also the textural feel that metallics add to your space is just plain fun. everyone and every space needs a little sparkle, a little shine.
i have been noticing fabulous metallic lines of wallpaper, shimmer screens-beaded and metallic as wall treatments, and metallic wall tiles. i myself added copper flashing around my shop windows and doorway and fixed the stips of flashing with tiny copper nails. that's why places like home depot etc. are fun too, just wander around and look at materials for just the material that they are, not for what they are supposed to be used for...and then let your mind wander...into the land of metallic. enjoy!
