i hope you all have a cozy weekend. what are you up to? anything fun? me and my broken leg are hold up for a bit, sadly. so i'll talk about what i'm missing right about now, beach walks, sitting outside under a blanket watching the planes, riding my bike just anywhere, and walking into my favorite pizza place. but alas this is temporary, as i hope this virus is and all of us being so detached. let's think positive thoughts this weekend, find fun and comfort in all of the small things.

it's the middle of september but it's going to feel like the middle of the summer in my part of the world this weekend. so i'm running to the beach for another day of swimming for sure! get it while i can. :) also i'm adopting a dog on monday!!! cannot WAIT. i will post pictures on my instagram feed and sorry if i overdo it on the new dog love photos soon, but i'm pretty darn excited to have this little guy in my life. i'm naming him jerry.

so in between swimming my weekend will consist of purchasing all items for jerry to welcome him home. i also hope to get in some writing as this is a new found artistic outlet for me. whatever you do, wherever you go, enjoy the heck out of your weekend!

i found these just really pretty today, these cement ceramic pots created and offered up by australian-based studio twocan...

inspired by australian sunsets, founders, artists and sisters maddie and becc sharrock color each ceramic pot, creating an organic layering effect. then each piece is "polished with natural oils, sealing the cement with a satin finish."

i love the rough and raw nature to them which is softened by the easy patterns and the relaxed sunset color palette. so many types of beautiful plants would be even more amazing in these. enjoy!

i've been slowing it down this week, reading, sewing, getting outside, ALOT. trying to suck up these summer days/moments in every way imaginable. sometimes you have to force yourself to live slowly, to look around you, to smell the outdoors, to feel things that you sometimes take for granted. that's been my goal this week. yeah!
