have a super weekend!

hey hey for the weekend! what are you up to? anything fun?
(via)
i've been feeling a bit rundown so i'm feeling the need to hunker in & move slow. some ways you'll find me this weekend, dancing around the house, sketching another embroidery project, listening to the rain, drinking coffee in bed, and walking to the library for another tiny concert (this guy, this weekend). i hope that whatever you have planned, that your weekend is everything you hope it is.

and it's friday, satruday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:

demisch danant design

i stumbled up on this designer furniture label, demisch danant over the weekend. with an emphasis on 1950's-1970's french design, each piece is designed in a provocatively modern way. this line stands out, it's luxurious, it has a distinctive flare, and i love that...
just when you think you can't truly be moved in the world of furniture design, you are second guessed by lines like demisch danant. these were a few of my favorites, see alot more goodness here. & enjoy!

have a fun weekend!

it's feeling (and looking) more and more like autumn in my part of the world. there is a energizing feel to the air, and cozy nights and coffee in bed...i love that!
(via)
i'm going to try to spend a bunch of time outside this weekend, what are you up to? anything fun? i'm coming off of a whirlwind couple of days with my son, staying up late, getting up early, dancing for hours at a concert (had. a. blast.) mixed in with working full time. so...i'm slowing it down this weekend. taking in the views, walking instead of running and quite possibly reading the sunday paper, all of it.

i hope that your weekend is everything that you want it to be. and it's friday saturday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:

bold in stone

every now and then i want to put on a bold earring, a statement piece, and usually with an understated outfit, so that they stand out, so that they steal the show. los angeles-based jewelry designer kathleen whitaker has recently launched her stone collection.

this my friends is a bold in stone or go home jewelry line. have a look at a few of my current favorites...
enjoy!

you'll find me reading this and sipping coffee in bed this weekend. in and around that, i'm taking my son to dinner, (hoping for greek food here), revisiting my fall clothes out of storage, and walking & watching the leaves begin to change here. i hope that your weekend is everything that you want it to be...

workstead

i've featured much of the greatness that comes out of the brooklyn-based (and charleston south carolina) design studio workstead before, but whenever they pull at my light loving heartstrings with new works, i just have to share...
and it doesn't stop there, with lighting i mean. workstead designs fabulous furniture options in a palette that is "strong and rich, yet simple and efficient." don't you just love that? see more, way more of what workstead offers up, here. for when you want to go off the grid, out of the box, purchase something handmade, something a little more special. yeah, like that. enjoy!

fashion inspiration: debbie harry

i jumped head first into the new blondie album this weekend, it was on serious repeat. and of course that led me to wanting to jump head first into some edgy outfits. debbie harry will do that to you. here are a few i found inspiring while i listened away...
(via)
i've always been drawn to her overall presence...the way she moves when she sings, debbie harry exudes something so exciting and decidedly punk sexy that you are sucked in, still. were you a big fan too? i'd love to hear, enjoy!
