i just adopted a puppy and named him jerry. he's been a life changer, forcing me off of social media, out onto my city streets to notice how fun running up steps can be, and sitting on the floor more, playing, sipping coffee slow and connecting with this little guy in ways i seriously couldn't have imagined. best choice ever.

so i'll be enjoying jerry this weekend, continuing my writing project with jerry on my lap, and finding a new set of stairs to explore.😊

it's the middle of september but it's going to feel like the middle of the summer in my part of the world this weekend. so i'm running to the beach for another day of swimming for sure! get it while i can. :) also i'm adopting a dog on monday!!! cannot WAIT. i will post pictures on my instagram feed and sorry if i overdo it on the new dog love photos soon, but i'm pretty darn excited to have this little guy in my life. i'm naming him jerry.

so in between swimming my weekend will consist of purchasing all items for jerry to welcome him home. i also hope to get in some writing as this is a new found artistic outlet for me. whatever you do, wherever you go, enjoy the heck out of your weekend!

i am in the process of trying to adopt a dog (and it is more of a process than i realized) but i got approved! and have my fingers crossed on one little cutie! i'm definitely up for one more all day beach day & summer weekend swim, gotta get it while you can in new england. (she gets it!)

monday i took the day and drove to chatham, where the november sky was changing so often, you felt as if you went through a week's worth of weather in a matter of hours...

these images were taken literally in the span of 2-3 hours, big skies, rough seas, seals coming closer and closer, playful and curious. it was a perfect day. i wanted to share it with you...enjoy!

hope birds

the italian design company bosa specializes in ceramics, from lamps to table top accessories to jewelry. all of it hand made, and utilizing ancient techniques and exquisite materials & precious metals such as gold, platinum and copper. but bosa designer jaime hayon's "hope birds" stopped me today...

they are table top sculptures symbolizing the approach of optimism and what lies ahead. "the hope bird stands proud and straight with a dynamic watch-out position toward the horizon, inviting us to reflect on the importance of staying positive to what the future may bring." pretty darn creative. i think that we could all use a little hope bird in our lives, every once in a while. enjoy!

i've lived in massachusetts all of my life, and never knew that this was here, this place called the world's end...

so i went there recently, spent about 3 hours, and walked the 251 acres. can you spot boston in the distance? it. was. amazing. the perfect fall day. there were hawks, deer and turkeys roaming around. planes descending into boston from overhead. the colors of the leaves are just starting to turn to bright. these are the kind of days that revive you, that bring you back down to earth. i wanted to share a few photos. enjoy!
