have a fun weekend!

it's feeling (and looking) more and more like autumn in my part of the world. there is a energizing feel to the air, and cozy nights and coffee in bed...i love that!
(via)
i'm going to try to spend a bunch of time outside this weekend, what are you up to? anything fun? i'm coming off of a whirlwind couple of days with my son, staying up late, getting up early, dancing for hours at a concert (had. a. blast.) mixed in with working full time. so...i'm slowing it down this weekend. taking in the views, walking instead of running and quite possibly reading the sunday paper, all of it.

i hope that your weekend is everything that you want it to be. and it's friday saturday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:

his cardboard & glue sculptures are amazing.

hearts in my eyes over these vintage woven lights.

ok, love SO much here, but their duotone furniture line is pulling at my design-loving heartstrings.

(expensive) floor planter love.

pretty throws from slowdown studio, this one's my fav.

for a kitchen, i'm loving these platform bowls (stackable!).

monday & reform fibers: etsy love

i know, i know, there are so many woven wall hangings out there. but every now and then doesn't one artist/designer stand out to you in the world of macrame design? i'm currently enjoying california-based elsie goodwin's etsy site, and her designs and her subtle use of color and block pattern in each one. have a look...
elsie's site is called reform fibers. if you are loving her pieces like i am and want to learn a bit more about elsie's design process head to her youtube site, here. & enjoy!

artist feature: ophelia pang

i'm enjoying artwork by ophelia pang today. ophelia's city scenes intrigue me most, there is something timeless about them, they are curious, fresh, and her views and vantage points are rather interestingly easy on the eyes...
some of ophelia's other works include vibrant abstracts, paintings chock full of bold color and textural patterns. but it's her spaces where buildings and people and life are at play that have captivated me today. see more of ophelia's work here & here. & enjoy!

happy new year friends!

i'm SO excited to see what this upcoming new year brings!
(via)
i don't really believe in setting up a particular strategy, in detail, formulating the next year. i think that life throws you waaaaaaay too many curve balls to make a strict list, and stick to it. plus it's kind of boring. i have learned alot this year, about myself, about what i want, and more importantly perhaps, what i don't want. sometimes that's the hardest to go through or let go.

sooooooooo...instead of getting all nostalgic about 2015 and making a bunch of promises for 2016, i thought i'd just leave you with some fun (or interesting) finds...

i found this interesting this year...how he flies around the world, for free.

this poignant interview tackled just a few of 2015's (and of course past years) issues. & you can buy his new york times bestselling book, here.

this winter i am loving these knit hats.

& can i please have all of these boots for 2016?

between the pool and the coastline, this place is on my travel to wishlist.

maybe sitting on this fun deck chair?

i just purchased this sweet little sponge holder. no rhyme or reason. just liked it.

going to a late christmas party? this chocolate bark recipe looks easy to make and bring.

this would be a super pretty new year's eve dress.

maybe with this tiny sparkler point ring?

and these earrings?

or these?

and last but not least, everyone needs a sweet little new calendar planner right? even if i don't want to plan my entire year up front, i like this one.

wherever you go and whatever you do this new year's eve, have a blast. and remember, the best is yet to come...enjoy!
