eric roth photography.

it seems, in my search of interior inspiration, that many of the environments i happen upon, the one's that stop me are photographed by eric roth. from metropolitan home, to elle decor, to coastal living. the creators of creative spaces rely on eric roth to help us see it. to really see it.

i suppose i'm in an eclectic mood lately, not being drawn to any one style, but so many styles all at once. but how fun is that? i certainly know my own style, but desiring others is also great fun. pulling elements out, from lighting, to texture, to color only helps you as a designer imagine the possibilities. we have to feed off of one another, it's how the creative world spins after all.

today is gusty and rainy and gray, but that's ok. i'm behind on class work, so no excuses to get outside, a day to read, to be indoors, dreaming of spaces like these in between homework. enjoy your day!

world of interiors. some favorites.

i would love to be in any of these spaces, from world of interiors, today. and all for different reasons. does that make sense?

how about you? could you be in any, or do you want to spend the day in just one? hmmm. i had classes last night, so my head is in a fog and i'm indecisive. i'd roam around through all of these different spaces today and enjoy every minute of it. all for different reasons. :) enjoy!

turkish ceramics.

if you're like me and you don't just want to "decorate" an already built space, residential or commercial, but want to help in the building process, sculpting up towards that design phase then you'll love the option of turkish ceramic.

build or transform an entry way with sculptural tile elements such as this by turkish ceramic, allowing an entry way to truly be a welcoming focal point as well as a wow factor. with tile like this you are setting a tone to an environment, a scale, a style and a quality element.

bathrooms can be havens, dreamy, relaxing havens. so make sure every detail is met, provide ceramic tile eye candy, design and bring to life and environment, even if it is a bathroom. even in bits and pieces this turkish tile can be fabulous placed in the right proportions and places.

if you're a designer and your client is installing outdoor elements such as patios, pools, etc., don't forget the options with ceramic tile. construct, sculpt, shape and innovate their outdoor spaces. turkish ceramics offer exquisite options.

what i love most about designing options is just that...the options! while ceramic tile might not be right for you or your client, it might be perfect for a future client and to know your options is being all the better prepared for completing a project geared towards that clients wishes.
but offering them options is key, exploring for your client, producing multiple options, capabilities and quality. so fun! enjoy:)

suwha. grab your coat and hat, it's fashion friday!

"born in korea, suwha hong traveled between and lived in new york city, korea and parts of new england throughout her childhood. dreamy as a child her favorite pastimes were drawing princess gowns, raiding her mother's pajama drawer for dress options and concocting imaginary tales in her head."

in 2006, after successfully completing law school at cornell, and practicing corporate law for 5 years, suwha "decided to follow her heart-she quit her desk job, got married and and traveled the world with her husband tim before settling in london to pursue a career in design."

i love the london influence in suwha's designs, very audrey hepburn, very classically designed but with a modern twist. and paring one of suwha's hats with any coat, forget about it, you are all set to go anywhere. love the look. need the look. how about you? thoughts on this fashion friday?

what are you up to this weekend? we are actually painting the trim on a friends house for extra money, very relaxing although there's a chance of rain in my part of the world this weekend so we'll see. if it rains, i'll dive into my books for class and get super caught up. enjoy your weekend everyone! :)

esti barnes rugs.

if you're in the market for a new rug, either for your commercial or residential spaces, don't miss out on rugs by esti barnes for top floor. original, provocative, innovative and sculptural in design. i just love them, all of them!

how fabulous are these little "seat pods" from top floors? removable, washable merino wool covers. perfect.

i have to say also that if you are in the market to put down flooring, top floors have some wood color palettes i hadn't seen and rich patterns for flooring. check them out too.

thoughts? see i'm much more of a beautiful flooring with rugs here and there type of girl. i'm a non-lover of carpet for the most part. flooring is just too beautiful to cover up with carpeting. are you a flooring or carpet person? just curious.
what are you up to today? i have a million things i'd like to do that will not fit into one day, so i'll be prioritizing. planting mums is one of them, (my geraniums have had it) and searching for bittersweet that grows like mad around my area. then some reading for class, more gandhi. bye for now...enjoy!
