flower vessels.

in my recent elle decor magazine, they featured an article about vessels. flower vessels. and with all of the amazing blooms, buds, branches and stems out there right now, what better to post about than vessels to hold your little beauties. elle decor featured some beauties and offer a great slideshow with links to all of these fabulous vessels.

i don't know about you all but i always treat myself to fresh flowers. at the shop i buy them weekly and rotate out the vessel that holds them, from large and striking to tiny and dainty and feminine. right now i have a tall clear cylindrical vase holding giant gladiolas , they are brilliant red and more blooms are popping out every day.

i have to have flowers near me, they make me happy, literally. i love walking into the shop and having them to ogle all day long. they enhance my displays of glass cake stands housing beautiful chocolate as well. they compliment the chocolate and they offer a bit of warmth and beauty to the space.

if you have to have fresh flowers, what do you prefer, choose, or cannot live without? or do you love to mix it up and constantly buy different? what are your favorite vessels to hold your flowers? for the most part i mix it up, from breaking off flowering branches in my neighborhood to purchasing something unusual at my local florist. what's your fancy? enjoy!

oh, i love flowers! I even got the little girl across the street hooked, she picks flowers from my yard for her room!!

I love what is is season, simple arrangements. I use any container i can get my hands on.... I really like italian fruit drink bottles to put fresh herbs or a simple flower.

I also love vintage juice glasses and old bottles.

I become obsessed with flowers. Right now it is sweet peas, when spring comes it will be peonies and hydrangeas. As for vases... Love mixing it up from milk jugs to glasses to teacups!
