hunting and narud utilize materials such as american ash, cherry, hard maple, red oak and tulipwood, and then pairing these woods with handblown glass. stunning. as hunting and narud state, "there is minimal contact between the two materials, the apex of the cone is the only part of the wood in direct contact with the glass." that's enough to make for visually captivating pieces.
