easy interior add-ins? flowers, of course!

my son the other day, helped me cut and arrange forsythia branches, (i know, right?) which we confiscated from my mom's driveway (hey. they were calling my name! :) and i'll tell you what, they have perked up our kitchen bigtime! big burst of yellow, just in time for these spring days we're having here in new england. it's amazing how something so simple (like free forsythia) can not only add to a space, but to a feel, to a color palette, for texture and for a touch of the outdoors, indoors. whether a grand hotel lobby or a tiny cottage like mine, flowers are complimentary, any time of year.

so go! run to your mom's driveway, or anyone's driveway really :) bring flowers indoors, i'm serious it will give you a boost, put a smile on your face and help your house feel just a tiny bit more like that grand hotel lobby. well, almost! enjoy!

lol love this post. I am taking it as "it will be ok for me to cut some of the hot magenta pink peonies that grown in the alley way 2 streets over from my house!!!"
My peonies are pale pink and I really would love to have some hot pink ones for the bedroom!
so thank you for the encouragement!
