sleek. modern. easy. and green. i happened upon this company, loll designs, whilst turning the pages of my favorite magazine of all time (so far). dwell is chock full of ideas, green ideas, easy ideas, and portrays companies and designers who are making a difference or creating one. if you haven't picked up a copy of dwell, well you must. in the back of the mag there is a wealth of info regarding companies, companies using alternative or sustainable materials, some recycled and some just plain ingenious.
loll designs caught my eye for their simplicity in contemporary design, color, and manufacturing. for every pound of weight in a loll chair there are an estimated 8 recycled milk jugs used "saving natural resources and reducing land-fill waste." their pieces are durable and all weather intended for advanced outdoor living space. loll uses a superior grade recycled polyethylene (hdpe), thus offering an attractive aesthetic and does not have the look of more common recycled material. there will be more to come from time to time thanks to dwell and all of it's pages in the back.......stay tuned! meanwhile check out loll so you too can get to lollygaging around.
