have you guys heard of the lost & found shops or am i just late to the game? i'm in instant love with this line. founder jamie rosenthal opened this "groundbreaking and innovative collection of shops", in california and in turn an "off the radar shopping experience" developed, an opportunity to peruse unusual, small boutique pieces, each one feeling more special than the next...

these were a few of my favorites but seriously, i could have just posted every single thing that lost & found currently offers. just so gorgeous, all of it. see way more here, & enjoy!

it's been a buuuuuusy week for me so i'm seriously looking forward to being still & quiet this weekend. it's currently snowing in my part of the world so that adds to my quiet mood (though if it continues...sledding is not out of the picture ;) i hope that you have exactly the kind of weekend you are looking for!

tania rollond's ceramics

australian artist tania rollond is creating a line of ceramics that will stop you. originally concentrating in graphic design, tania realized a true zest for working with clay, and in response earned a master's of fine arts in drawing.

pairing the two talents and passions, tania combines her very free yet beautiful command of the use of line with her natural design sense of color and pattern combinations. the result is a fresh line of sculptural ceramics that to me, are like no other...

table talk.

tables, whether they be small side tables or slightly larger coffee tables, they are like pillows to me...i often want to change them out or rotate them around the house. they offer a quick and easy change of style & pace to spaces. they offer texture and height, they accent and almost ground spaces in easy ways. i really could just have a whole house full of tables. kidding. sort of...

artist feature: leah bartholomew

i'm really loving the bright & colorful artwork being produced by australian artist leah bartholomew...

leah begins her layout of each painting with torn paper (like this), as more abstract collages..."an intuitive puzzle of unexpected colors and feelings that take shape based on the influences of her environment and mood."

leah describes her paintings as "optimistic." i love that. these were a few of my favorites, but see more of leah's work here & enjoy!

super inspired today by the color palette, set design and overall composition of multidisciplinary photographer and artist javier vallhonrat's vogue uk shoot called "light and fantastic"...

the fashion shoot is modern ethereal, chock full of dreamy-ness and a super soft pastel candy color palette. just so gorgeous! enjoy!

monday & andrée sorant's scarves

i have a number of vintage silk scarves from my mother (from when she was young!) and wear them often. there is something about tying a pretty patterned scarf around your neck. scarves offer a sense of sophistication, a contemporary elegance & fun, they can literally complete a look...

and so i love stumbling upon new scarves full of unique patterns & interesting color combinations. the french designer louise motte has created this particular line of scarves named andrée sorant, the name chosen for a maternal grandmother. sensitive to silk scarves' textile heritage, louise's scarves are still made by skilled artisans in the lyon region of france.

wearing a scarf is a special feeling, at least i think so. i feel confident and refined and flirty wearing scarves. i'm loving this line, and wanted to share it with you today. enjoy!
