what i really like alot about roda the company and roda's designs and philosophy is that they've truly calculated just what buyers love about the indoors, what they love about their indoor furniture, and they've interpreted that toward the outdoors, to make the easy and comfortable transition.

outdoor furniture doesn't have to look like a sacrifice from your indoor line. it really can/should be just as creatively designed, just as amazing and obviously just as comfortable and practical. roda has certainly forced us to view outdoor furniture and the capabilities for transforming your outdoor spaces, in a very different yet welcomed way.

yeah for sundays! and yeah for fab new finds. i wanted to share with you today, the sweetest of shops, fine little day. a swedish company who states that they are a "sprawling and happily inconsistent company." fabulous!




from that rain pillow, to their super sweet line of jewelry, to the cute little flip book in the top photo, just so fun for sunday finds.

oooh, and hey for super bowl sundays!! and even more exciting, i'm from new england. sooooooo, go pats!!!!!!!!!!!! we are cooking up a storm today, having friends and family over. there will be yelling at the television, i'm sure, and much fun had by all! enjoy your day everyone! ;)

this mid~day, all of these dots evoke a party atmosphere to me. i love the scattered, no plan really nature of dots. they are freeing, they are feel good fun. and so it's friday. and so that's perfect ;)

happy friday friends! i'm excited it's the weekend and i'm also excited to share a fab find for furniture and lighting design, gubi. their product is easy~breezy design. from perforated, textural elements, to sleek lines and interwoven/layered design, gubi is stimulating my design senses this fine friday. here are a few of my favorites from gubi's line of designers...







didn't i tell you? isn't it all so easy on the eyes, yet intriguing to the inner designer in you? yeah, gubi is all that! it seems to me that this product line has something for everyone, every space, whether residential or commercial. whether you enjoy taking design risks or you prefer to keep your design style closer to the belt. gubi's product line falls to both sides and somewhere in between ;)

hey hey for friday! tell me what you have going on? i'd love to hear. i'm going to run around the house this morning and clean, as we are having a small get together/party for my son's birthday. i'm then picking him up at college for said party ;) it will be fun. one of the gifts i picked him up is the new stephen king book. have any of you read it? my son likes his work. as for me? ah, i like sleeping at night, so...not so much ;) have a super relaxing/fun weekend! enjoy...

mid~day funky finds

funky lighting finds this mid~day. lighting that stands out. for the shape, for the materials used. for hidden birds in lit spaces ;) because every now and then, whether in a corner of looming above a kitchen table or hanging lightly over a nightstand, pieces like this are intriguing. and they remind you to not take designing super seriously. to have fun. and that's a good thing.

this mid~day i've accomplished alot toward coursework. i've taken a much needed run as i was in the car alot yesterday and was craving getting out there, in the fresh air, and moving! felt so good. how is your day going friends? i hope you are feeling productive and looking forward to a relaxing evening. enjoy!

deadgood. british design

deadgood is a cool company i found recently which features a super eclectic variety of british designed product. lots of color, texture, unusual shapes and materials. i just love companies like deadgood, they have fun with product, they test the boundaries, in both a beautiful & unique way. here are some of my favorites, including in this first image, this line of parquet herringbone pieces, really conceptual, really inventive.







deadgood is dead on...for cool, doing things differently furniture and lighting. and why not? with all of the design choices out there, designers/artists need product such as deadgood's. there is something for everyone in the product world. there is something fun going on in the world of deadgood. really fun!

this mid~day wednesday inspiration comes in the form of howkapow, a fab site find, chock full of things that will make you smile. they're cheery and downright fun products. from this swallow pouf to these cushions below, howkapow offers up pretty patterns and as they say, "smile-enducing style."


how is your wednesday going friends? we are on our way up to boston for one of my classes later, but before that we are scooping my son and his girlfriend up at college and whisking them off for an early dinner. today is his birthday, and though he'll be home this weekend for a party, we thought we'd still give him a small celebration tonight.

sancal. balanced products. strong identity.

this wednesday, i wanted to feature and share with you a fab new find, sancal. sancal is super eclectic. sancal's belief/motto is based upon strong identities yet keeping in mind that the "diversity of humanity is the measure of everything" which allows for personal creativity without limitations.









sancal is also (to me anyway) rich in color, texture, and line. sharp lines and softer lines. their product is dynamic, edgy yet welcoming and inviting. perfectly suited for both residential or commercial spaces. seriously suited. sancal transforms the everyday into the exceptional day. i love that!
