stick lights.

i love the textural quality these "stick" lights offered up by fabbian bring to spaces, residential or commercial.
inspired by a pair of pliers, designer matali crasset creates the stick light, "bent elements stretched by a central support." and while the choice of wood as the main material in this lamp certainly offers a warm, diffused sense of light, the repetitive wooden slats offer a unique and interesting shadow and effect.

i truly believe in incorporating a mixture of textural elements in to spaces when designing. whether it is a commercial or residential space, adding texture adds interest. period. i also love to mix older with newer items. that too offers a view that has different dynamics going on, generations of style. especially when some of your favorite pieces are collected from travels you've taken or amazing flea markets you've visited. you picked them because you were drawn to them. and in the end, that shows. enjoy!
