why not start off this monday with the interior/exterior of a really great coffee shop. the grounds. and though this might evoke new york city cafe, it's smack dab in the midst of alexandria australia. oh, and i want to be there this morning. shall we?

i love that is space is named the grounds, because it's not just about the coffee here. it is the grounds. the spaces, the green additions, the seating, the way in which it does indeed ground you.

i've always enjoyed the layout/design/possibilities with commercial spaces. if i had to decide on transforming commercial or residential spaces for the rest of my life, and only one. it would be commercial hands down.

this is certainly a "holistic approach to food and design" as the grounds describes on their site. you are surrounded by rich, industrial and earthy views and vantage points...sipping your coffee at the grounds would just about make your day. no? enjoy!
