in an olive grove.

happy friday friends! i wanted to share with you today, this most amazing home, built smack dab in an italian olive grove. lavishly natural color palette, utilizing locally sourced materials such as stone, light woods, cement and lime plaster, i find this home, these spaces wonderful and captivating this friday.
the idea and promise when building this home was not to interrupt the natural landscape but rather to incorporate the new home without "changing the natural look or movement and not to alter the color effect of the whole." smart.

the contemporist featured this exquisite home and you can read more about it here as well as view more photos. luca zanaroli was the designer. you can read more about her and her firm, here.

what are you up to this weekend? if you were in the hurricane then you are still crossing your fingers for power and cleaning up. we as i said sat through the wind side of things on cape cod. and while we have some small damage, we certainly were lucky and thankful it did not hit us full force. to all of my blog friends in new york, new jersey and new england, i'm thinking about you and this weekend...i hope that you are finding some space to unwind in, to relax in, to sip wine or coffee in. enjoy!
