something from nothing.

i first noticed something from nothing in my current issue of dwell. dwell featured something's "wired lamp" with clean green lines. i thought is was fun and reminded me of bending pipe cleaners and things like that when i was little and forming different objects. pretty neat. something's site seems still in progress as there are limited products but a very cool idea. taking inspiration from things in nature, something from nothing does just that. with their wired lamp inspired while using wire to "draw" with, this lamp is perfect as an oversized table lamp or a as they suggest, a child's standard lamp.

mark surrey, something from nothing's creator, inventor and designer carries a degree in three dimensional design for sustainability. it shows. "something from nothing created both functionally and visually compelling products. combining the latest digital design and production technologies, with more traditional hand craft and making techniques." check them out for now, and definitely check them out for the future, something from nothing is up to something for sure! enjoy.
