as we are all sort of reflecting back on 2008 and looking forward to 2009, i thought it might be appropriate to look into these fabulous mirrors and also notice that all mirrors do not need to be hung on the wall, they can lean, lean out, hang and most importantly create space, add an element of texture with the glass and the frame if any. like pillows, i'm drawn to mirrors, not to stare into necessarily but drawn to mirrors for the construction of them. from large to small, framed or unframed somehow mirrors...although made of glass... can add a warm feeling to a room. i'm currently searching for a giant mirror for my shop as I can create more space visually by adding it to the back wall. i'd also love the lighting that i had designed and constructed to reflect and bounce right back into the room off of that large mirror. i have a medium size sort of boring one that i picked up at homegoods really quickly when we were opening to fill a void, but it's pretty generic. i need a mirror with flare, with curiosities, with a vibe. yes i said vibe, wouldn't you agree mirrors have an energy of sorts? happy friday and here's to a brand new weekend in a brand new year :)
