"founded in 2010 by
gaurav nanda, a sculptor and designer from michigan, bend is based on nanda's passion for making functional yet sculptural objects." gaurav credits his design sense and style from many childhood vacations spent in california's palm springs, soaking up sunshine but also mid-century modern "architecture, design and lifestyle." gaurav left a corporate job at GM, sculpting models of the interiors of vehicles to put his own stamp in the design world of furniture and lighting.
i positively love the linear texture & color palette that each piece adds to any interior, these pieces steal the show. they are impactful pieces. you can see some really neat short clips of the making of these pieces,
