cuban born artist rocio rodriguez has captured my attention today

rocio exhibits paintings as well as works on paper and works on walls. her style, at least to me, is dynamic, her paintings are imaginative still life's, things are arranged, placed, stacked & styled, yet you are never clear on just what the items are, but it doesn't matter. the composition is what matters, the layering of different mediums to capture an end result, an end texture, space, place and energy.

i've said this before, you have to consider, when you consider purchasing artwork, whether or not you could live with a piece forever. rocio's paintings, i could, live with forever that is. enjoy!
