steel chair.

today, i love the idea of this. this steel chair, designed by reinier de jong & constructed from a variety of old broom handles. the other thing i really like about them, is imagining who held them, what homes, or store fronts or sidewalks they swept. pieces with a history, a soul of sorts have always been the most interesting to me. maybe i have an old soul?
there is something so intriguing about re~purposing materials, into something so wonderful yet so useful, all at the same time. the addition of curious pieces, such as these steel chairs, to your residential or commercial spaces only add interest, they add a sense of the past, present and future into one piece, into one space. how amazingly do the chairs sit in that cafe space in the last image? so amazingly...that's what! enjoy.
